YV-560 Design Pics
That looks really nice. I hope to see more of your work.
Nice work.
Very cool. I'd love to have a book of this kind of thing: Serious details of a whole bunch of ships. Some friends and I are getting ready to start a Google Hangouts game with a YG-4210 freighter, and since I'm playing a Smuggler Pilot, it's been frustrating to me that I can't find an interior plan for the ship. I feel like I should start the game knowing all about it, and all I can find are stats and exterior art.
One thing that strikes me as funny about the YV-560 and some other ships like it: How do you look into a left or right turn with those big outriggers on either side of the cockpit?
For that ship in particular, I believe the cockpit is above the rest of the ship horizontally. You walk up the ramp into the cockpit iircc.

That makes sense. Then the "outrigger" parts of the ship wouldn't be any more of a problem than the wings on a low-wing airplane, and people deal with that every day.
Really good. If you take requests, I'd love to see your take on the ILH-KK citadel cruiser.
Thanks for feedback everyone.
As far as cockpit visibility, I imagine the YT-1300 would be worse...not to mention parallel parking the Wayfarer.

I'm sure there'd be a good amount of appreciation for more schematics like this. It makes the game a whole lot easier when you actually know where you are!
Very nice. This is relevant to my interests, since my group flies one
Great work! Which book do the stats for this class of ship appear in? I don't see it in the core rulebook.

Enter the Unknown, p. 66.
Thank you so much! And it looks great!
Nice design
For a YG4210 deck plan (amoungst many, many others) try the Colonial Chrome website! Sine really great stuff onvthere!
How about the YV-929 from Dangerous Covenants? Anybody know where I can find deckplans for that little monster?
I am going to start working on the YV-929...no promise on timeline. I need one for a game I'm running (not the PCs' ship at that price), but I can't seem to find any floor plans either. Since I can't find any canon deck plans, I'll just improvise.
Unfortunately it appears that I can only click the "Like This" button once. Very insufficient.
This is pretty awesome.
Looking at the room descriptions, I'm guessing this particular ship has been fixer-uppered from the norm pretty heavily. It's all science! I'm curious what the story is behind this ship.
I'd also be very interested in seeing a more traditional, off the shelf, interior layout.
Note that a 3-D artist rendering of the YV-560 can be found at http://img4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20150212070250/starwars/images/9/9a/YV-560_light_frieghter_ETU.png
The following should show the image directly in this forum:
Awesome work! do you mind sharing the assets you used so more designs could be made?
I am handy with most graphic design apps, but don't have the time to start from scratch...

Forum member LibrariaNPC has done a good job of statting up a number of ships that have not appeared in the books (or not yet, as of the time the work was done). There are a number of different threads for freighters and other ships.
Then there are a number of fan sites like Colonial Chrome where they have floorplans for various models.
That should be a good start.

Interesting. I just found this thread at

which looks relevant to this topic.
Oh, and there’s this really nice picture at http://thomaswievegg.deviantart.com/art/YV929-Armed-Transport-468430436 which might be original art by the creator!

Unfortunately, I don't really use a graphic design app. I use the Mac equivalent of PowerPoint and make these ships using shape files and clip art from RPGMapShare and Dundjinni forums. RPGMapShare is a great source for textures and objects.
