How do people plan on using this upgrade? Personally I think it would be good to fly a wingman (Black Squadron Pilot + WIngman) with a PtL Rhymer. Unlike trying to run a wingman with something like an interceptor or a large base ship, I foresee keeping them in good formation to be much easier. Joust with APTs, push the limit for that target lock and focus, then still be able to kio on the next turn and press the attack.

Of course, this is just one of many ideas I've got. I'm eager to hear how other people plan on making use of it.

Oh an bonus points if you're able to put Flechette Torpedoes into your target so they can't kio to face you later.

I see what your thinking, but in my experience with rhymer and ptl I didn't really have any trouble clearing the stress for a second (and even third) shot. However, I do think a bsp or two with wingman will be a VERY popular choice for imp squads no matter what the rest of the squad looks like

When I saw Wingman, BSP was my very first thought.

How do we feel about a Saber Squadron pilot with Wingman in order to keep up with Fel? (I actually think Fel's Wrath would be the perfect candidate if he had an EPT).

I'm thinking Wingman could be very interesting on Airen Cracken at 21 points. He'd be a bit more expensive than your BSP+Wingman and unique but with a much higher PS and an ability that syncs up well. Even if Cracken pulls a stressful maneuver beside someone else who is stress he'll be able to pull the Stress off that wingman and hopefully have an attack at someone giving that wingman an action he probably couldn't have taken because of the stress. I'm not even sure of all the implications of that pairing but it will make Cracken a target.

You could have a flock of Green Squadron Pilots with PTL and Wingmen. Call it "Cool Runnings", 'cause there's never any bloody stress, even in the case of a massed koiogran.


If everyone in your fleet has Wingman, it's like you're flying with an Invisible Yorr, which is great.

I just wish we had more generics with EPT slots, for that tactic.

Meh, they're purposefully trying to shift the meta from swarms of low PS pilots. I don't see them making more like that.
