Dark curse says the opponent cannot use focus token when he is defending. Blaster turret requires you to spend a focus to fire it. Do you activate the turret then declare target or do you declare target then activate the turret? In Essence would dark curse prevent the use of a blaster turret to attack him? In my e ample the target was out of arc.
Dark curse and blaster turret
From Dark Curse's entry in the FAQ:
“Dark Curse” cannot be the target of a
secondary weapon attack that requires the
attacker to spend a focus token.
Do you activate the turret then declare target or do you declare target then activate the turret?
You declare the target during the declare target step of the combat sequence. The use of a secondary weapon is declared during the next step, roll attack dice. The order is always target before weapon.
Well, except the paradox of turret weapons that are some how selected befor declaring the target in order to be able to target something outside your firing arc to begin with... but let's not go there, it's a scary place ![]()
but let's not go there, it's a scary place
I think of it more like Camelot... A very silly place.
