The Second Transport almost made it

Well we had a 300pt rematch agian last night and this one went alot better for the Rebels. what im finding about the transport i know alot of people like Slicer Tool but thats 7 points i havent used yet i know it stops your opponent from doing k turns and PTL witch is good but 7 points if someone can help me learn to like it please HELP

Engine Booster i think is a must and i dont think ill run a transport with out Toryn Farr.

WED-15 maby but i think Chewbacca is better no action or energy needed still need to think about it

I'm confused... You say you used the Engine Booster to ram the enemy BH, but you can't. The Engine Booster upgrade specifically states you can not use it if it causes you to overlap another ship. (At least that is what I'm reading on Voidstates list builder (my cards are currently in my car).

Correct. You cannot do that.

Edit: But you use engine booster before the maneuver. Your maneuver may result in an overlap which would not have happened without that boost. So, in a way, engine booster may cause overlap.

I used the booster first then 4 straghit it also cost me 2 shields but worth it

We ran an epic game last night and the Transport was the MVP of the game. It had:

GR-75 Medium Transport (30)
Comms Booster (4)
Comms Booster (4)
Bright Hope (5)

Total: 43

So, it would move forward, gain energy and reinforce the front. It would then pass out up to two focus tokens (and clear stress). They tried to alpha strike it, but even with Jonus rerolls, they only managed to strip the shields, which there soon regened. Then they tried to ignore the transport, but it was close to them, so it forced them to pilot carefully, all the while it began doing other critical actions (Jamming Turr Phennir or handing out actions). It took a direct hit from crushing an asteroid, and they did about 12 shield damage to it over the course of the game, but they never actually touched the hull.

Silly that I havent tought of that myself,

now I have an excuse to buy a second Transport.... XD

FFG may change that in a future FAQ. Or they may leave it the way it is.

I doubt it - they already have the "Limited" restriction on some of the cards to keep you from using more than one per ship, if they didn't want you using more than 1 comms booster they would have made it "Limited".

You don't like that it prevents your opponent from K-turning and PTL? I caught my opponent out with it a few times and he lost a couple of tie fighters for it. It felt strange killing ships without rolling dice :D

I love the upgrade.

I've only run Qunatum Storm so far but I think it'll be my favourite, as the ability to regain energy proved particularly useful as I was regularly using up most of my energyeach turn. I also took the Tibanna gas supplies and glad I did for the same reason.

Unfortunately I lost due primarily to mucking up movement and running over an unscratched YT-1300 piloted by Chewie at a key point in the battle.

Great fun though. Took about 3 hours.

I havent used it yet thats why i think its a bit useless i was also think that Toryn Farr 6 pt lets your opponet use PTL then you can take his tokens and his left with stress yes it gives no damage but it can stop them from hitting you as hard

I to think Quntum Storm is the best title even beter with Backup Shield Generator

the way i plan to build my next transport build i think i would rather have Combat Retrofit, Toryn Farr and Chewie have to think about cargo it already looking expesive
