I imagine this concept of a Gamorrean Enforcer that is so anti social he usually lingers near the engine room of his ship listenng to Gamorean Opera's and sleeping on the floor so he doesn't have to socialize with the party too much but has their back no matter what.
Which Species would you most like to see?
I rather play my Gamorean politico.
Or even better, Entertainer (Either Opera or twilek style dance)

And I just flashed back to Minnesota Fatts, the Gamorrean Disco Dancing Sensation (courtesy of some demented mind over at the old WotC Saga Edition forums) ![]()
Although it could be better suited in a Technician book, I would also like to see Arkanian and Arkanian offshoots. Ah well, USM will have me covered if that dream doesn't come true.
Mine is a short list of of what NOT to include....
Zeltron!...
WE already suffered enought through the Dark Elf Drizzit syndrome in DnD .. do we need a mary sue race like the zeltron in Star wars as a player race!...?? Cmmon!
Zeltrons are a mary sue race? How so? I always saw them more in the tradition of the 'exotic green skin girl' of early sci-fi.

Goth space elves, you say? Great idea! Can I change me vote to Nagai? ![]()

Or the red men from Edgar Rice Burroughs' barsoom series.
Strangely, the race I don't like because I perceive it as 'Mary Sue' would be the Falleen. They're super-sexy and so badass it hurts... Yuck.
Nagai, Ubese, Togruta, Sith, Miraluka, Noghri, Dathomirian, Falleen, Barabel, Defel, Cathar.
Obviously a wishlist with no regard for timeline.
, Togruta, Sith, Miraluka,
I think it's fair to say these three and kel-dor will likely be held back until force and destiny. Sith are "extinct" as a species though aren't they? even the "purebloods" in swotor weren't real Sith.
I'm a stickler for sticking to races who stuck out in the original trilogy:
Arconian
Bith
Chandra-Fan
Devaronian
Gammorian
Gran
Jawa
Nikto
If you want to go outside of that I think Dugs fit nicely in EotE.
I wouldn't expect to see anything from old, Old Republic (KotOR, not prequel), until Force and Destiny. And I wouldn't expect to see any races introduced that weren't commonly known throughout the galaxy at the time of the original trilogy until a few books into Age of Rebellion (Ewoks, Noghri).
I agree with HappyDaze. Falleen are much more "Mary Sue" than Zeltrons. Falleen not only have the attraction thing like Zeltrons (even though I have yet to see a Falleen that looks at all attractive), but they are also all badass too.
Both Species fit EotE pretty well though. (And let's face it, just about EVERYTHING in most of the later EU novels was "Mary Sue")
Oh, and I forgot to add the Lepi to my most wanted species, so I can get my green rabbit Jaxxon on.
Edited by GrimmshadeSince they're cannon, Lurmen would make a really interesting colonist species. I would be happy with stats for them.

We did get the Chiss, and they were not commonly known around the galaxy.
1. Togruta
2. Nautolan
3. Neti
4. Squib
5. Gamorean
6. Jawa
7. Gungan
8. What ever Zeb from Star Wars Rebels is
9. What ever Yoda's species is
10. Herglic
11. Zabrak
Not one person has put Mandolorian?
Curious. I was expecting one person to be promptly shoutwd down for suggesting them.
I would wager they show up in the bounty hunter supplement.
Edited by KalrunoorAren't Mandalorians more a culture than a species? Given that humans are deliberately made to be mechanically diverse they kind of already exist.
True, but they turned Corellian born human its own species in Sons (Suns?) of Fortune.
Edited by KalrunoorAh, haven't looked at that one yet.

But if Mandalorians are a culture not a species, wouldn't it make more sense to have a specialisation for them?

One when you have a sci-fi or space opera setting, the line between species and culture becomes blurred. To go back to the pld serials and star trek the alien species were allegories of different cultures. When you translate this to the rpg, mechanically a new culture is the same as a new species. Think of every planet as its own country, each with its own culture. Planets like Coruscant would be the melting pot that is, say North America with much diversity, where Corellia, Alderaan, Mandalore, etc would be like the countries that have one dominant culture - to use an outsiders view, an average north american looking at Spain, France and Italy.
Two, there is already the precedent made with correllians that reinforces culture is the same as species.
As a side note, this is one issue many have with sci-fi, that am entire species only has one culture. One could argue that space travel could let these diverse cultures spread out and segregate themselves in essence, becoming their own species - which in star wars, translates to the near-human nomenclature.
Edited by That Blasted SamophlangeIt's a bit iffy though. Not all Mandalorians are born on Mandalore - they go there and assimilate themselves into the culture, right? Sounds like something that could happen in-game, so it'd be odd to have it as a trait that can only be gained at creation.

In terms of the rpg, the stats like corellian humans, would represent someone who is not only born and raised in a culture, but who also espouses the cultural view.
If we go with the canon that mandalorians are a defined culture, like Corellians, then an species entry can work. If anything, if like corellians, mandalorians will just have ranged light or heavy, maybe brawl as career skills and they can raise these to three at character creation. The rest is fluff.
