Alright, we know the specializations, now what about those species?
Some species I consider to be appropriate/likely:
- Arkanian
- Bith

Hrm. Well I'm gonna guess the-
Oh. Wait. I guess I can't participate. Darn. Oh well. Carry on! ![]()
Gran, Cerean and Falleen
Based on absolutely nothing.
Gran would be very appropriate! Plus, you know, they are awesome.
Cerean I would also think a great choice especially considering the scholar speciality, but they would also be very appropriate for a force based book.
I'll substitute my Arkanian for your Gran!
Someone in another thread mentioned Zeltron. That would be enough to make me throw money at the computer screen, but I like species choices anyway, so FFG already has my money.
I think Bith - due to the Modal Nodes as the default amd iconic representation for the performer specialty.
Gran is a good candidate they are done already.
Dug I would like to see, as they and the gran fought over the gran colonizing the dug homeworld it could work.
I would also like to see Aleena.
Bith - they make the most sense for Performer as Twi'leks have already been used.
Gotal - this species has sensitivities that mesh well with the Colonist career field.
Devaronians - Dev males are well known for their wanderlust. Makes sense to put them in this book.
It's really hard, especially with F&D right around the corner. Bith seems likely. Zygerrians maybe. Togruta? We shall see shortly I would think. There will be the article about the races and then a third about the Signature Abilities I would think.
Special Mention: Kowakian monkey-lizard. ![]()
I like the Bith, Cerean, Zeltron thoughts. Much Like we got the Duros in the Explorer book around the time we got the AoR Beta, I can see us getting a race (let's say Cerean) from the F&D Beta in the colonists book.
I think the guys/gals at FFG have to be looking primarily at the species seen in the original trilogy, specifically Mos Eisly cantina and Jabba's palace, when releasing EotE species. You got to figure F&D is going to have its own career books with species tied to the Jedi as seen in the prequel trilogy.
However in the first career book we got chiss and toyarins, so original trilogy is not the only source.
I wouldn't mind gotals st all.
However if we go by previous covers, we may get a human variant. ![]()
The following is a graphical simulation of my pants if Zeltrons were announced as one of the Colonist species:

Not it on changing his diaper.
Coruscanti humans
Alderaanian humans
Chandrillan humans
..and Gungans?
Bith
Gotal
Falleen
Neimoidian
Quarren
I think all of these would make good choices for a colonist book.
I think we will see Devaronians in a Smuggler career book.
I was thinking
-Quarren
-Gran
-Talz
-Tion Human
-Hapes Human
I also wouldn't mind if this book had a bit of a focus on Corporate Sector of space. It makes sense with the two they announced. So I would not complain if they drew a species or two from in that little area of space.
I'll be one of the many guessing Bith.
Selkath as a doctorly species?

so much troll lol j/k
Muun maybe, since they were in charge of the Banking Clan? They'd make great entrepreneurs.
Actually the Zeltrons make sense to me. They're all about the charm. We'll see though.
I'm thinking the list will be Bith (probably most iconic species for entertainers after Twi'lek dancing girls), Gran (highly social species and Colonists are pretty much geared towards being the party face, plus already created for AoR), and Neimoidians (to fit with Entrepreneur much as Toydarians would mesh with Trader).
Falleen are an idea as well, though perhaps they might be held for the Smuggler career book seeing as how the most iconic member of their species was a big-league crime lord and most of the Falleen that crop up tend to have various criminal ties. If anything, a Falleen could show up in the Smuggler book as a tie-in species to a Smuggler specialization that reflects being a major figure in the underworld aka crime lord.
I wouldn't mind seeing Zeltrons, but in comparison to many other species in the Star Wars 'verse, they're not very well known, with the species heyday being back in the old Marvel Star Wars comics, which also gave us an anthromophic green rabbit.

Zeltrons got a huge resurgence with the first volume of the Legacy comics, so it's also a touchstone for younger and older fans. Though it's still a comic book (and one KOTOR II cameo) race

But how much was made of Delilah Blue being a Zeltron as opposed to just being a pinkish/red-skinned humanoid babe with a flirty attitude? Been a while since I read those comics (partly because I think Cade is one of the worst characters created for the 'verse), but aside from a very brief segment where the female Hutt crime boss (Queen Jool?) set up shop on Zeltros, there really wasn't much to differentiate Delilah from any other Near-Human, and her flirty attitude could just as easily be chalked up to a personal quirk rather than a species trait.
Bith
Neimoidian
Zeltron
I hope they don't just port over Grans from AoR, ugh. Would be such a missed opportunity for wholly-new content. Same for more "from a particular area" humans.
