Any trade forums around?

You still haven't answered as to why you don't buy directly?

I buy directly from them. It costs more, but I am supporting them. You are NOT. How dare you. I buy all Arkham Horror line, as well as Descent. How much money have I contributed to fantasy flight? I'm sure a lot more than you. Why are you the defender when you don't buy from them?

Care to go back and read this? http://i.word.com/ithesaurus/Commerce

Purchasing unused product from a retailer directly profits the goods manufacturer. At this point I'm not sure if you really have no idea what you're talking about, or if you're just trying to troll me.

That may be true, but the LGS buy them for substantially cheaper, so they can sell them. In essence you are cheating the company out of profits. Im beginning to think you are the ignorant one. You purchase at a marked down price. Thus contributing significantly less than the ones who purchase directly. Also it's not unused product. The gaming stores take pre-order numbers, and place an order. How is that unused product?

I'm just going to assume that you're trolling at this point, since you clearly have no interest in engaging me in thoughtful conversation. Until you read the journal that I linked, I will no longer be responding to your ignorant attempts to elicit a response from me.

By the way, the word ignorant simply means that you don't know what you're talking about. It is not a pejorative term, and you have amply demonstrated that you haven't the first clue about economics.

Usually when people bow out, they have lost the argument. Obliviously you need to read up on economics.

Just the argument, that you don't support fantasy flight directly.

All I see in this thread is WonderWAAAGH "WAAAAAAAAAAHHHING!" Stop Crying dude...if FFG had a problem with it, they'll notify the persons or lock the thread, which they haven't done at all in past trading Threads that have been started. Grow up and stop trying to play some Advocate for FFG's Feelings. And We do have rights here....We have the Right to Post! Where the hell have you been? :)

I don't see anyone crying, but I do see someone trolling.

Well since you haven't figured out what basic Economics is; I'll forgive you for not knowing what Trolling means.

Take a good look in the Mirror and type one of your responses to william72; there yah go...are you seeing the tears now? <-----Booyah, Now that's Trolling!

How did this thread go from

"Hey, how about trading" straight to " economics and direct sales from FFG?"

That might be hard to explain without pointing fingers. Basically, things got complicated when a few posters refused to grasp the basic premise of my argument. You can only present factual information so many different ways, and, unfortunately, there's only so much you can say to someone who refuses to listen.

First off. I said it was rude. It is rude to have a whole trade system on their forum without their approval, whether it's against the rules or not. Kind of like it would be rude for me to buy a bunch of ships online and pop them open at my FLGS. Even if I bought them straight from FFG.

Secondly, we buy from Local Stores because Local Stores support both Local Business, Local play Space, and FFG, all at the same time. FFG would probably rather have you buy from a FLGS than from them directly simply because it means that they will continually be moving product and expanding slaes in that area via the free advertsiing of me playing in the gaming store.

And yes, Trades lose FFG money. Not a ton. Not enough for them to ban trading of their stuff. But enough to be rude.

I see, now we need a little jar jar character sayin "how wude" lol.

Be careful what you wish for...

After a few seconds I just wanted to shoot myself

fantasy flight sells a game for 60 bucks, and a game store sells it for 40 bucks. You buy it from the game store for cheaper, fantasy flight loses 20 bucks. Unless you buy directly from them you have no basis for an argument. Are you telling me they would rather lose 20 bucks by having you buy it somewhere else? That makes no sense. I understand they could potentially lose money for trades. But you have no business being a defender of the faith if you don't buy direct. Besides if they really had a problem they would shut down every trade forum on this sight, which they are not doing. They are against someone making money in a trade. Not trading a card for a card for free. Take a look in the mirror, buy something from them direct, and come back. Otherwise stop posting, and start your own forum on how life isn't fair.

I really wish there was a dislike option.

Since I'm an outsider to whatever kicked off here I can't really comment. But I can ignore someone who seems to just want a fight. Not sure but I think this will be the second ignore I've had to resort to. As for WonderWAAAGH bowing out, it isn't a sign that he has lost the argument, merely that his time is better served arguing/discussing with someone who isn't appearing to just want to argue for the "fun" of arguing.

Some people come here as part of their R&R and, while happy to engage in debate, don't want to bother with those who are only interested in...

EDIT: those who've gotten to know me, after a rocky start, will be able to notice that my good humor has been diminished by this thread so I shall "bow out" soon too.

So does that mean no one's looking to trade anymore? ;) I don't know enough about economics to engage that debate.
