Hey folks. I am very new to this game (just played the starter rules with my kids). I cannot seem to find anywhere on this site dedicated to finding a store near you that runs tournaments and such. I mean I would love to spend the weekends playing this game with my kids, but some variety of opposition and my not having to buy everything that I would see played against me would be nice as well.
Local supporting store list
Knowing your location would be useful. There's no overall list that I've found.
A good place to start is looking at what stores are running Assault at Imdaar Alpha. You could also check what stores ran Store Championship tourneys. And then you'd have to contact them (or look on the store's website) for if/when they normally play X wing. There's also an Organized Play subforum here that you can browse or post in to find people close to you and where they play.

You also could use Facebook to try to find hobby game stores in your area, then find out if those stores run X-Wing organized play.
Phoenix, AZ US is my location. Danthrax, thanks for the list. that is just what I wanted.
Well if you don't mind driving down to Tucson we have tourneys every other Monday and Wednesday (alternating weeks) at 6:00 pm at A2Z games on Ina right off I-10. Although I'm sure there are stores closer to you in Phoenix.
I would but that is a LOOOOOOONNNNNNGGGGGGGG drive. I might do it for a major tournament but not just to play. Looks like there are three or 4 stores up here for me to try. As I said I am just starting out but it would be so cool to enter a tournament with my 12 year old son. Share my love of table top games with him.
