Corran Horn

By bzinfinity, in X-Wing

Ok, I've been searching the forum, because I am almost positive I saw this question posted a few days ago but I cannot find the thread to save my life.

Does Corran Horn shoot twice in a turn?

Once during combat phase and once during end phase? Or does using his card ability lock out your combat phase?

Again, sorry if this is a double.

Yes.

I like the idea of putting Marksmanship and Fire Control on him. You would get the most out of that ability to shoot twice, then just bug out next turn. What would people think would be a good astromech to compliment that build. I like R2-D2 myself but that is going to get expensive.

Depends on the dial. If he has a green 4 white, i'd agree... But seeing as you're going to want to zoom out, if he doesn't have a fast green, then R2D2 won't help much. I would think that a better way to use him would be to line up the R1 shots (with marks + FCS), and then next turn, K turn so you're facing the right way, at R3, stressed. Then you can zoom back in with the fastest green, clear stress and then double up on attacks again. Just a thought on how to joust with him. Maybe R2D2 would work.

I was half way through typing how I thought R5-P9 would be a good choice if you didn't want to K turn joust, but seeing as he has an evade action, you might as well just take that action... though if you're not being shot at, it's not as good... I donno... so many thoughts going through my head right now.

You can activate his pilot ability to shoot during the end phase; if you do, you're locked out of your next combat phase (and the following end phase). So he can attack twice in one turn, but if he does, he attacks zero times the following turn.

I would have thought that R2-F2 would be quite interesting on Corran. On the turns he cannot shoot he just turtles up.

I'd pair him with R7-T1, giving a range of options or a combination of options.

And, just because he is already on the hefty side, points wise, why not go all the way and load him up, together with Lando or Han?
