Would you use an extra point to upgrade concussion missiles to assault or homing (on a ptl green squadron pilot) or upgrade your rookie to a blue?
a question
Hard to answer your question without a frame of reference. What's your entire build? What do you want to accomplish with your build?
It depends on who you're facing. If you're fighting a TIE Swarm, then assault missile. Otherwise, upgrade the X-wing.
well if u face many rebel b wing lists then go with cluster missiles 3 attack dices TWICE vs 1 defense die craks down thier shields pretty easy and with the cheap missile platforms callled the a wings the b wing player can just try to hold back his tears.
its good against the falcon or y wing aswell just sayin dont forget the shuttles u can focus fire down with concussion missiles P i love those missiles *_*
pretty good agaisnt single targets indeed
Edited by SoulCrusherExSo it's pretty simple. garven and an x/b wingman directly engage whatever it is I'm facing while ptl a wings stay out of arc flanking and cleaning up. Probably would modify tactics if I end up facing a swarm but that's the general idea. Might be worth mentioning I'm planning to use this as my imdaar list.

In that case it's sort of a tough choice. Going from Concussion to Assault isn't strictly speaking an upgrade unless you expect to face a number of lists with abilities that depend on Range 1. Going from Concussion to Homing often is an upgrade, because Homing Missiles leave you with a token to modify your dice--but with PTL already involved the bump to damage is very, very small.
(Don't go to Clusters, either, in case you were considering SoulCrusherEx's advice.)
But going from Rookie to Blue actually won't do much for you, I think. I'd say Garven is probably my first target unless you make one of the flankers particularly vulnerable somehow, but whether it's a Rookie or a Blue that's probably my last target--which means guns and maneuverability are really more important than durability.
Are you at 99? Because you might just leave that last point off in a bid for initiative.
I wouldn't use an A-Wing in the first place, but that's just me.
Edit: to be fair, I would use Arvel, if only his PS wasn't so **** high.

Well, I was sort of taking his use of A-wings as a given--but if the OP is up for serious modifications the base list, I think you'd get a lot of mileage out of using X-wings with Engine Upgrade as your flankers, rather than PTL Greens with missiles.

Edit: crap that's over 100

That I might just do... Haven't tried it before but I really like how it sounds. Green squadrons stay though. I'll kick out garven

I hate it when that happens. You get your build JUST where you want it........ and it's like 102 points.
