Why did FF not spoil the e-wing dial?

By eagletsi111, in X-Wing

Could it be something special is in store for us? Or may it's the same as an X-wing? Or did they just forget too?

wondering what others think?

I believe there is something from every expansion pack currently unspoiled. For the Defender - it's the 2nd generic (and whether it has an EPT), for the Phantom is Tactician, for the E wing it's the dial, and for the Z-95, its Decoy.

That being said, I don't think they intended to spoil the 2nd generic for the E wing, so perhaps this isn't quite 100% true.

and for the Z-95, its Decoy.

Forgot about that one. So far between the Epic ships and Wave 4, and Rebel Aces there's been at least 1 card that's not been spoiled.

Some stores have "Guess the E-wing Dial" competitions. Perhaps FFG didn't want to end those early.

And if we go back to W3, none of the dials were spoiled... Actually, W4 is the first time they've spoiled any dials. But in W3, the shuttle didn't spoil flight instructor. HWK didn't spoil Rebel Op... Bomber and B wing were fully spoiled... But they were also spoiled over several news articles.

The E-wing has a hyperspace movement on its dial. So it can flee the battle to get away from the scary Phantoms and Defenders.

When it was first announced, they said it had the firepower of the X-Wing and the Movement of an A-Wing so maybe it will use the same or very similar to the A-Wing

Ok how is this just for fun, It has 2 new moves. First it has what could be called a double K turn. Lay out the 3 movement ruler behind it and do what would be a loop in air warfare, almost like moving in reverse. the second would be a K turn based on the 3 banks. Have to find someway to surprise a Phantom

Or it HAS no maneuver dial. It just sits there at the deployment zone.

It also shows a 3 turn on the one layout that has all of the package spread out.

One thing about the e-wing half the people are excited and half are not. I think no dial adds to the mystery of the ship and generates excitement still.

I think it'll be like the X-Wing with a forward 5, possibly two Koiogran turns. Somehow I think it either won't have the sharp 1 turn, or the forward 1, probably not both (the only one I know that has both is the B-Wing).

YT-1300 has both.

I think we have to guess that it will be a speed 5 unit, at this point no ship that is a speed 5 has a 1 straight. So that lends to sharp one aand bank one. The real question is what will be green and red. On the X-A wing the only reds are the K turns. The 1 bank is a white and the 3 hard is white, maybe make the 3 bank a green to improve it over the A-wing

But the dial is between an X and A. If we're getting rid of the straight 1, and the 1 bank is white... then I would expect 2 bank, 2 straight, 3 straight to be green. No ship has green 3 speed banks/turns, so I don't think we'd see a green 3 bank.

Though, I would highly expect a 1 straight from this ship. The only ship that has a 1 bank and not a 1 straight is the /x1, and those banks are green. We can also estimate that it does not have a 1 turn because they tend to show the first maneuver, which in this case is a 1 white bank left.

So, prediction:

1 white bank

1 green straight

2 white turn

2 green bank

2 green straight

3 white turn

3 white bank

3 green straight

4 white straight

5 red straight

3 red k

5 red k

I believe there is something from every expansion pack currently unspoiled. For the Defender - it's the 2nd generic (and whether it has an EPT), for the Phantom is Tactician, for the E wing it's the dial, and for the Z-95, its Decoy.

That being said, I don't think they intended to spoil the 2nd generic for the E wing, so perhaps this isn't quite 100% true.

Well the second generic for the Defender is Onyx Squadron, but points (I can guess 32pts as a hunch) and EPT (I would bet no) are unknown or confirmed. E-wing will be Bloodmoon Squadron (I think this showed up somewhere maybe on one of the spread pages) points and EPT are unconfirmed of course (I expect 29pts and no EPS)

Well, it's confirmed to not have an EPT, but through sneaky methods. If you take a look at the two named pilots, you can see that the EPT icon directly under the center of the focus icon, which is an area that you can see on the Bloodmoon Squadron Pilot card, and it's blank there, confirming that it does not have an EPT. Though this was likely an unintentional info leak.

The E-wing has a hyperspace movement on its dial. So it can flee the battle to get away from the scary Phantoms and Defenders.

So I guess the Imperial Huge Ship will be an Interdictor Cruiser.

Though this was likely an unintentional info leak.

Considering there's 3 generic pilots out there with EPT, I'd assume anyone new generics won't have them until we know otherwise.

1 white bank

1 White turn

2 Green turn

2 green bank

2 green straight

3 white turn

3 Green bank

3 green straight

4 Green straight

5 Green straight

3 red k

5 red k

Reasoning first it needs to be as good or better than the A-wing. No unit that has a 5 has had a 1 straight, design momentum, you just cant go that slow, a typical problem in fighter design. No fighter with good manuverability has a red 5 straight either white of green. Less greens than an A-wing, when it is described as having the best of the A-wing. The green 3 bank may be wishful thinking, but think the 1 turn is a good choice. the green straights fit the idea of keeping the a-wing handling.

My Guess is similar,

1 White Bank

1 White Turn

2 Green Straight

2 Green Bank

2 White Turn

3 Green Straight

3 Green Bank

3 White Turn

4 Green Straight

5 White Straignt

3 Red K

5 Red K

Let's wait and see...
