This game can be infuriating sometimes. I love the complexity of the movement system, I love the action system, I love the depth and possibilities of the builds.
Then I go and play a game (flying BBBAA) where my opponent kills 1 B-Wing per turn, followed by an extra A-Wing for good measure, in 3 rounds of attacks. It doesn't matter how well I manuvered or how well my opponent did. It doesn't matter how strong of a list I was flying. Nothing else matters. That's 28 points of damage in 3 rounds of attacking from 5 TIEs and a Lambda (with Vader). I did a total of 5 damage and I think I maybe rolled 3 evades.
All of the horror stories of dice rolls you've probably heard of, I have had them. Lost Howlrunner to a range 3 shot behind an asteroid with stealth device in 1 shot from an X-Wing. Two rounds of HLC fire, with focus, from 2 B-Wings and I rolled all 4 blanks on both B-Wings both rounds (that's 16 straight blanks). It's almost to the point sometimes where my opponent can just declare how many dice they want to roll and I suffer that many hits (or I declare attack dice and we just move on).
I know its observation bias (assuming a fair RNG), but it feels down right unfair sometimes. It feels hopeless and it makes me want to quit the game.
