I know its a rebel ship, but has anyone just had a fight with a runner vs a runner (call it a captured ship being run by imperials) just to see how things will look when the empire get a big ship?
How did it go?

Blockade runner is not released yet. The transport is. I have not played transport vs transport yet
Rebel vs. Rebel is perfectly legal and happens in tournaments all the time.
In an epic match played on the 6x3 board, it may turn into a very long game if both players are running a transport. Setup tends to happen from opposite corners of the play field. Neither side is going to be willing to abandon its transport and go fight the other fleet which has the significant advantage of being next to its own transport. This could lead to a very long series of movements by the extremely slow transports before anything is even within engagement range.
I really love the idea of two corvettes ramming each other head-to-head. The critical damage they take can go into the shields though, right, so we could conceivably have an impasse with the shield regeneration like when two Falcons sit facing each other?
The rule for huge on huge collisions specifically states to deal a face-up damage card. So, no, the shields won't help. Also, if the two ships collide head on, there's no way for them to maneuver away later. They would just keep ramming every turn until one or both is destroyed.
Imperials had CR90's, they don't need to steal them. There is also an Assassin class version also.
As for ramming, I would rather ram a Corvette with a Transport that had the WED-15 Repair Droid. Now that they are touching, the Corvette can't shoot the Transport and the Transport spends every turn repairing the crit it suffered. You will destroy the front section of the Corvette unless it has the same droid.
Now that's locked down, take your ships and assault the rear where the Blockade Runner can't hit you.

But keep in mind that the ships are taking 2 face up damage a turn. Once when the first rams the second and another when the second rams the first.
I would like to see how an Imperial force goes with a Corvette attached for testing purposes. Just to see the difference in the tasks that the support fighters have to perform.
You could use the Transport and Corvette with Imps. Just don't allow Rebel only cards on them. For now, in friendly games, that would be a lot of fun.

Just for sake of fairness I would allow any rebel only cards that came with the huge ships, just so Imperials don't face a dearth of options.

My thoughts exactly. Particularly want to see them in action with the CR90
I wonder if Darth Vader will be legal on Imperial huge ships? Assuming that such a ship would have 2 crew slots, Darth + repair droid would be... kinda sorta broken.

Just vader and the shield recharge action is concerning.

For that reason alone I think he'll get the Navigator treatment.

I hope not… I want my Vader Crew to be on something more than a Suicide Cow.
Maybe we'll get a Large Ship Only vader crew that does something different. I could live with that.

What are those x-wings in the first picture with the non-round engines??
I remember in Star Wars Galaxies, you could have 2 model of engines. The standard one, and the other one shown on this picture. If I remember correctly, those were the player's crafted ones.

I miss SWG!
When we get a big ship for the Imperials it needs to have a card with the flavor text "Asteroids do not concern me..."
