Anyone else receiving broken X-Wings in their Transport??

By Papamambo, in X-Wing

Yeah, I took the picture before I opened the package.. I have already crazy glued it back together. Now just a waiting game to see if I'll get another one in the mail.. If not, no harm, no foul. If so, I will now have 4 X-wings :)

So you realized it was an easy fix, fixed it and still requested a replacement from FFG? .....

My Transport was missing the little extender pegs, but it turns out you don't really need them.

I HOPE for broken ones that are easily fixed because FFG has such good customer service. If I wasn't handy it might be a problem, but it ends up with two flyable minis. I would prefer a totally detached gun like in the OP to some of the bent ones I have.

Yeah that isn't "broke" per say....as much as popped off. One small drop of super glue and R2 will have that stabilizer back in working order.

No.. I took the pic and submitted the ticket before I realized that it was an easy fix. Once I had the package open I realized it would fit onto a peg on the edge of the wing. It kept falling off, thus the crazy glue.

And once you applied the glue you sent a reply to the ticket telling them to disregard, it was fixed?

Just got my first transport last night and had a xwing issue as well.

Wasn't like yours, the spindly gun tip was hanging by a thread on mine. I cleanly removed it, got out the super glue and I think I reattached it well enough. If it comes off again I'll maybe ask FFG about a replacement.

Have you got the replacement from FFG?

My B-wing came damaged (the tip of the gun was broken off). I grabbed my Crazy Glue and attached back. Now, you can't even tell that it was ever broken. From the looks of your pic, you can easily glue the gun back on, too. Just another option for you.

Yes, I did end up getting a replacement from FFG. It came about 3 weeks after the ticket was submitted (I live in Canada). Very happy with FFG's customer service in this, and I highly recommend contacting them if you have an issue. So, now I have an extra X-wing (no dial). I'll probably hang the one I fixed from my rearview mirror, or place it on my PC at work..

To be fair, that's exactly what I ended up doing to my X-wing. At the time, while it was still in the package, I wasn't sure exactly how much work would need to be done to it to get it 'battle-ready', as I've never had one fall apart on me. I took the pic, submitted the ticket, THEN opened the package to realize that it was a fairly easy fix. I didn't have any super glue at the time, so when I ended up picking some up a few days later, it was easy as you said. By that time, the ticket was already well into processing.
