Anyone else receiving broken X-Wings in their Transport??

I received my transport this weekend, and I noticed that the wing-tip cannon on poor old Porkins' X-wing was broken off. I've heard from a few other people that have had the same thing happen.

Anyone here have this issue? It's an easy fix I know, just a dab of Crazy Glue to fix it right up, but maybe FFG need to revisit the packaging of some of their mini's..

I submitted a request for replacement, and just received a notice that it's in process. Anyone know roughly how long their turn around is on items like this??

But if you return it, you don't get the free FFG replacement! I'd take an extra ship if for no reason other than to paint it.

The problem with returning it is that my LGS doesn't have any more right now. I was in the first batch of pre-orders, so I'll likely be waiting a week or 2, if not longer. They didn't receive enough to fulfill their initial pre-orders.. Any new ones go to pre-orders, and after all pre-orders are received, then they will exchange it. Grrr.. I should have looked before I left the store. Oh well, easy fix I suppose..

Best bet is usually to communicate directly with FFG and see what they will do. I've personally had very good look working directly with game companies to fix an issue and have heard loads more stories of the same.

I've had two ships come minorly broken(A gun out of a Firespray and the bottom peg out of a HWK. Neither felt like I should have FFG replace them.

superglue...fixed...have fun.

That is a problem, but seeing how its Porkins.. I think he can hold it.

It sucks when a collectible mini comes in broke. Thank goodness it is Fantasy Flight, they are an awesome company, and I think they would replace it for you.

Just thank goodness it is not WizKids you are dealing with. If it was a HeroClix that came broke, their policy is not to send you the same figure, but to randomly send you just a figure, and they don't even send you the card to go with the figure. Their customer service is the worst there is.

But remember one thing... it is destiny, and you can't cheat destiny....

Mine was fine. Mind you I picked it off a shelf with about 9 brothers but I wasn't really looking to see if any of their conditions were different. I've always felt the first one to catch your eye is destiny :lol:

Yeah, I took the picture before I opened the package.. I have already crazy glued it back together. Now just a waiting game to see if I'll get another one in the mail.. If not, no harm, no foul. If so, I will now have 4 X-wings :)

Had something very similar happen to my aces box. FFG had a replacement at my door (California) in about a week!

The transport was not broke, but probably should have been. The plastic cocoon it was in was broken through on the aft end. Must have been shaken pretty fiercely.

I had a wing coming of the imperial aces just like yours. But since it wasnt actually broken, but just the wing coming from the socket because of a bad glue job, I didnt feel it was really appropriate to have it replaced. In general though it does seem some of the ships are a bit loose in the package, which does mean there is an extra chance of damage. So it is only right for FFG to replace damaged ships. Dont abuse the system though.

Last week I received 3 transports from MM. No broken X-wings, however...

One of my transports lost the middle engine during shipping.

My Transport was missing the little extender pegs, but it turns out you don't really need them.

I think i hear a turbo laser cannon breaking of my Tantive 4 right now!!! lol oh darn... ^_^ . FFG your my only hope!!!

I had the same with my Imperial Aces where one of the wings came off. I contacted FFG and was about to chase them up a week later when they sent me an email saying that they were shipping a replacement. So basically give it about a week and you'll probably get the same.

I'm very happy with the response, although now I'll have eight TIE Interceptors...

Well now I want to buy another four basic interceptors to bring it up to an even 12, so yes, yes it is.
