I'm about to start a Dark Heresy Campaign and I was wondering at what is the recommended starting rank for the adventure?

I know the book ain't on sale right now, but I was hoping to get an official sneakpeek. This way I'll know if I must plan prior missions.

Add a rank to whatever the starting rank is for House of Dust and Ash would be my best guess. I make no claims to omnipotence though.

This would put it in the 5-6 Rank range if I'm not mistaking.

The promo says it is playable for any rank... doubt it but okay...

Now that the book is out, can anyone who's gotten their hands on it fill us in on advised starting Rank?

My FLGS gets its order tomorrow, possibly today. I'll let you know what I think about once I get my copy. Oh, and if there is a recommended starting rank or no.

I just got my copy yesterday. Tattered Fates is designed to be highly modular so that the GM can make it as challenging or as easy as he wants. You probably could run it with 1st rank Acolytes, but that would mean skipping all the fun stuff so they can survive the ordeal. I would recommend 3rd rank+. 5th rank is probably ideal as it allows you to use the most.....interesting encounters.

On page 4 it says that acolytes can be of any rank and then in brackets mentions that ranks 4 to 6 work best.
