It doesnt say in the quest rules where the heroes start, Im guessing that they start at the entrance but it doesnt say so in the rules.
Am I missing something here?

Looking through the SoN quests, it seems there are a lot of them that don't explicitly state where to put the heroes. The ones that do are generally not on the entrance tile, though.
I don't recall if there's an explicit rule about this in the core book, but I would be inclined to say that the heroes should always start on the entrance tile unless otherwise instructed.
I am pretty sure it says in the core rule book that unless it says otherwise, heroes start on the entrance tile.
Cheers guys

p. 5, Hero Setup:
5. Place Heroes : Each player places his hero figure on the map in the area indicated by the quest rules for hero setup. This is typically on an entrance tile.
So while not a rule per se, it probably works just as well.
So, when in doubt, the overlord wins. I mean, put them on the entrance.

^-- this.. the heroes do not have a starting position, thus they are not on the board, thus the heroes do not have an opportunity to stop the overlord.
considering this quest, does any1 know what statistics Rylan Olliven have?
im playing OL vs 4 heroes, does he have statistics for 4 heros or what?
and 1 more Q:
green Influence: Cave-In: Each hero on the Twisting Stair, the Magme River or the Deep Pit suffers 5 dmg and suffers fatigue up to his stamina
when does this ocure, at the start of OL phase, heoes phase?

He uses the stats for 4 heroes in a 4 hero game.

It occurs immediately when you reveal the influence effect.
Edited by WhitewingIt's worth noting that even in the base game, almost none of the quests specify, probably because of the rule quoted above which is meant to imply that the Entrance is the default location unless specified otherwise.
Per the base game Quest Guide under Setup on page 2: Unless otherwise noted, the heroes may place their figures on any spaces of the tile labeled “Entrance” on the quest map.
Just an update for anyone intrested, we played this scenario yesterday and it was a huge success for the overlord (me)
I chose the influence making heroes take damage at the start of the overlord turn when adjacent to hazard/pit tiles, reason being I didnt want waste actions "summoning" barghests and I knew that the heroes would never let me hit anyone of them with a cave in.
I rushed as fast as I could with the master barghest utilizing dash cards when I could.
Held my monster back a few turns and then rushed in with everything knocking out all heroes in one turn, they werent able to recover after that and the rest was a cake walk
