I should work on recording my battles better as I am doing this from memory. I will also try to get the actual lists my friend was playing. I do remember him having advanced proton torpedos and several droids.
100 point lists
Rebels
Luke with R2-D2
Wedge
Dutch
Imperials (me)
Two Royal Guards both with PTL and one with Targeting Computer
Four Academy Pilots.
First Game
I started with both Royal Guards flanking on each side and the APs in the middle. Rebels set up in the middle.
The first battle the rebels moved towards my tie group, planning to break through. Unfortunately he wasn't able to kill one tie. Then the guards came in from the flanks. Luke was the first to go from concentrated firepower from the tie fighters and an interceptor. The rest of the rebels were made short work of by the imperials with no losses.
The second battle, the Revenge of Craig.
He rebuilt his list but kept the same rebel ships as before.
The Imperials had the same list and deployed the same. This time the rebels deployed all on his right side. With asteroid placement, I was unable to move my 4 tie formation into the middle of the board. I maneuvered them to the left to meet the rebels. The guard interceptors flew in. The one on the left boosted and barrel rolled out of the firing arcs of the rebels as the one on the right was out of position but was coming in fast.
The game went better for the rebels this time as he killed one tie out of the group fairly quickly. Bad defense rolls on my part. One of the interceptors surprised Luke again with the target lock (Hey Wedge, I got a target lock on me) before he blew up again. Then the Wedge took out the interceptor. Mass casualties on both sides.
Then it was down to Dutch, 2 very wounded ties and one hardly scratched interceptor. Dutch somehow took out the ties somehow and the interceptor managed to move into an asteroid. Dutch maneuvered his Y-Wing expertly and blew the interceptor to bits.
In all, I am very impressed with the maneuvering capabilities of the Tie Interceptor with Push the Limit on them. The Targeting Computer was a filler with what I had available and was a nice surprise as it helped kill Luke in the first and second game. The Y-wing didn't run at all with ion turret in either game.
Here is a picture of the second game with Wedge and Dutch are thinking they are in serious trouble. Not really as I wasn't doing really good maneuvering as the first game.
