Backstabber vs. GR-75

By Orsonius, in X-Wing

Since the transport has no firing arc is Backstabbers ability always in play against it?

That's an interesting question.

I don't own the transport so I don't have much input, but I would venture to guess that Backstabber can't be outside of a firing arc that doesn't exist, so no the card text would not activate.

Just my two cents.

The defender has to have a firing arc, and backstabber has to not be in it, to gain Backstabbers pilot ability.

Backstabber doesn't trigger against Senator's shuttle, so I think the GR-75 is Stab-proof.

Do you mean the Tantive IV or the normal Imp Shuttle? Im confused...

Anyhow... when a ship has no firing arc since it lacks of offensive weapons i assume that Backstabber will not work.

Exactly my reaction when I read the thread title.

Is that in the FAQ?

He means the senators shuttle token from the first scenario in the core rulebook.

Dang.. okey...

Well, i cant say anything about that since (i know im bad) have not yet touched any of the scenario games.

I promise i will....

Yes. Page 11 of the current version :

Q: Is Backstabber outside the firing arc of a ship that has no printed firing arc?

A: No, Backstabber’s pilot ability only triggers against ships that have a printed firing arc.
