So I had an idea the other day, see what you guys think. So what if you start out with the base pilots first for instance rebels would start with rookie pilot xwings and prototype awings and stuff basically the lowest point pilots. Same would go for imperials. This would be maybe a 4 or 5 round tournament and after each round you tally how many enemies each fighter took out and of what type. So an xwing would be worth 2 points and a tie fighter 1 point. The points would look something like this:
Rebels
Xwing-2 pts
Ywing-2 pts
Bwing-3 pts
Awing-1 pt
Hwk-2 pts
Yt1300-3 pts
Imperials
Tie fighter-1 pt
Tie int-2 pts
Tie adv-2 pts
Tie bomber 2 pts
Firespray-3 pts
Shuttle-3 pts
Now say rookie xwing pilot #1 downed a tie fighter and a bomber he would get 3 pts to spend towards upgrading to a higher pilot skill or adding an upgrade onto his ship. Same would go for imperials. This would take obviously take place at the end of the round. Now you can use these upgrades during the next round and at the end of the next round you would do the same thing and keep spend your points upgrading your fighters. So what I mean is your upgrades carry over into each round. Also before each round you can choose to reorganize your points. So say you chose to spend 3 pts to add a hull upgrade onto your xwing and then you gained another 3 pts during this round you could trade in your hull upgrade to now give you 6 pts which you could use to upgrade your pilot to luke or whoever you have the pts for. So what do you guys think?
