I'm worried . . . I can't find my minis.

By Millennium Falsehood, in X-Wing

That's my request if you're counting my donated ships as funds (no worries if you're not). And yes of course Spock would he standing there looking confused and maybe his hands on the arm are in the live long and prosper sign. And Han has Lirk on the ropes and about to deliver the goodnight hay maker. Oh that would be awesome.

I think that is the winning idea

Well, this is going pretty great! I'm up to $322 out of the $375 needed to replace my minis! :D

Thank you to all who have donated so far. :D

Well, it took a week or two but we're getting there. I imagine it's been slow because the link is kind of buried at this point. If you re-posted it every now and again, or edited it into your initial post, you might get a little more traffic.

Ima sound cruel here for a bit, but get off yer ASS, and get a job. Youve been looking for two years while living at home spending money on THIS hobby?! If your current career isnt cutting it, change it. Ive done it 3 times, and Im only 42. Chances are your skills in your current job, could transition you to something else. Think outside the box and focus more on the important things in life like supporting YOURSELF, and not taking donations to support your hobby.

REALLY?

I mean have some self respect and GET YOUR PRIORITIES STRAIGHT!

The donations were volunteered, not asked for. We all give where and how we please, when we please.

Then give to a REAL CHARITY.

Try the AMERICAN RED CROSS or THE SALVATION ARMY

Everyone has the right to have interests, regardless of employment status. If you lost your job, would you stop playing x wing or stop being interested in it? And Echo (pun intended) above statement. Regardless of financial status, losing an investment like this would suck for anybody.

I have, and I do. The fact of the matter is, you don't know me or OP. Remember that old adage about making assumptions?

I donate lots of money every year to 'real charities'... What we do with our money is our business, not yours. You have the right to not donate equal to our right to donate. ;).

I will make lots of assumptions here. He lost his toys. TO F'ING BAD. It sucks. So does life sometimes. Deal with it. Grow up, refund the money, or give it to a real charity and get a full time job doing something. ANYTHING.

I will assume NONE OF THE FAST FOOD RESTAURANTS IN HIS AREA ARE HIRING? Thatd earn more than 300-400 a month. No job should be BENEATH YOU, living at home, crying about loosing your toys.

HE SET UP A SITE TO TAKE DONATIONS, CLEARLY CAN FIND 40 hrs a week doing SOMETHING.

HES BEEN ENABLED TO NOT HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF HIMSELF BY OTHERS AND ANYONE WHO DONATED HAS ADDED TO HIS SPONGING OFF OF OTHERS.

Life IS hard. Making your OWN way, IS hard. Making it past the HARD part IS rewarding. Everyone NEEDS help sometimes, but I just bet if our illustrious x-wing player puts out AS MUCH EFFORT ON FINDING/REPLACING HIS TOYS AS TO FINDING A JOB, HED HAVE ONE.

Oh good lord, I haven't even read your post yet and I can already tell by all the caps that it's going to be bad.

Nothing to see here folks.

And rife with grammatical errors... May I request old adept that you mind your own business on this. Nobody here is asking you to agree with it, or demanding money from your coffers. Life is hard, yes, but you don't have to make your own way in every aspect. If we didn't need to depend on one another we would all be hermits growing our own food, crafting our own minis ;). The original post was a lament for losing his minis, not a cry for charity. That was offered by individuals, not requested. From experience, the old 'tough love' speech is rarely effective...

Also, by posting this you may brought enough attention to this for him to reach his goal. For that, we thank you.

I'm, fair enough. Although I hope that this gets the buzz going again with anti-troll-rage-donating.

A sob story!

I lost my toys while living with my MOMMY AND DADDY. I dont have enough money..

Somebody PWEASE help me get my toys back.

My grammar not withstanding yall are suckers. I have a bridge Im selling, any buyers?

Generous kindhearted suckers, but suckers nonetheless.

*Y'all, I'm*

If you type in caps all the time, it's like you're typing in caps none of the time, my friend.

Even though I'm not one of the people donating (I can barely even afford to start off myself), I do get a nice glowing feeling from the fact the all this trolling has achieved has been to help out the OP some more :D

Help, meaning, enable a lazy slacker to bamboozle others into buying him more toys!

Caps or no caps, good or poor grammar, cont'ractions or not, d'o'n't' change the facts that the OP needs to man/woman up and take charge of his/her life.

This is definitely not the life advice forum, it's the X wing forum. Let's stick to the topics and try to withhold judgment on people whose shoes you have not walked in :).

Sorry but as bad as I feel for the OP, I am still a touch worried it's a scam. I've fallen for 1 too many in the past.

If it's legit, then that's awesome that the community helped out.

If it's a scam, and you all just sent someone a bunch of free stuff...well shame on you.

On behalf of Copenhagen X-Wings a small donation have been made: don't make us/me look bad ;-)

I'm trying to resist. Really, I am...

I find your lack of faith disturbing.

Seriously though, there will always be scams. I would at least hope that everyone donating is donating money that is surplus to their needs, so at least it's no great loss if there is any level of scam involved. Beyond that? If we focus too much on the possibility of everything being a scam, that in itself can make a person so sour that it stops them enjoying life.
