I need a name for a Star Destroyer and nothing I come up with sounds good. I don't want it to be from the EU, as ALL my players know about it than me.
Just need a good, Imperial Star Destroyer name.

Please.
wow. Every decent synonym of "Steadfast" was taken for ISDs. What about the "Unity", it's been stuck in my head for a good flagship for the rebellion, but it might make for decent ISD ship.
My good old stand-by:
Bloodwake
. More pirate-y, yes, but I've used that for all my lead battlewagons
Two good hits I got from Google on this exact topic:

The Brits are also good at this sort of naming convention:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ship_names_of_the_Royal_Navy
Dauntless. Bastion. Regent. Vanguard. Tempest. Lancer. Valorous. Indomitable.
I'll throw out Vigilant , Resolute and Redoubtable .

Existing ISD names tend toward harsh, cruel or authoritarian words.
Here's a few.
Inexorable , Prosecutor , Authority , Absolute , Conviction , Ruthless .
It would be neat to see a few ships named for old war heroes from the Clone Wars - but I'm not sure who's all dead except a bunch of Jedi who the Imperial Navy would never name a ship after.
That said, I could see some rebel ships cropping up with names like Fisto , Mundi , Plo-Koon or Windu.

The good ship Fisto.
The Revenge....oh wait..can't use that. It has already been taken by the Droid pirate Roberts.
