You know, one with no nebula or anything, just a black space with stars on it style, or a nice simple looking Star Wars style planet (so either Tatooine, Coruscant or Endor style, no gas giants etc)?
Anyone found a really starwars playmat yet?
GF9 has the ice planet map. Pretty much the shot of the transport fleeing Hoth, not to mention their Death Star map (argh my eyes)
Edited by BroodyGambitI designed some simple starfield graphics like that, but they're graphics only -- you'd have to take them somewhere to be printed.
HCD has one coming out in about 5 weeks... http://www.miniaturemarket.com/hcd-starfield.html its anuther one of those giant mouse pad types... makes a perfect playing surface.. i have the old style one..
Edited by SwedgeI know this is not EXACTLY on topic - but does anyone know where to buy that mousepad material in bulk?
I've got a machine at work capable of printing 3x3 at pretty good resolution, now whether or not it will accept that mousepad stuff who knows, but I'm willing to try in the name of science.
That star field mat looks nice, need to check it out on a bigger screen.
The frozen planet one from GF9 is too nebula-y for me I think.

I don't know where you are from, but allow me to post a few mats I have here:
1. 4.24 ly
2. Simple Stars
3. Aliens Playground
4. Asteroidbelt GMSPW21
5. Vast Emptiness
6. New Chance
7. Dark Planet
There are many more, but most are nebula kind or other exoctic stuff (find it at http://www.miracle-versand.de/Tabletop-Miniaturen/Gelaende-Terrain/Spielmatten
Let me know if there's anything you like ;-)
Wow! Several of those are beautiful Shaadea - I love them all, and several of them are quite Starwars-y! What are the materials like, and are they available in 3 by 3? I couldn't read much of the site but several seemed to be 3 by 5 only?
I'm in Britain.
Edited by mazz0I especially like both the asteroids ones - with some 3d asteroids on them I actually think they'd make more sense as a play area than the more starwarsy plain stars or planet ones, as it would finally make sense to have the asteroids there (normally when I play I think "WHY ARE WE PLAYING IN THE MIDDLE OF A BLOODY ASTEROID FIELD?!""
4. Asteroidbelt GMSPW21 is absolutely gorgeous. These are some amazing mats, man.
