Transport in the uk

By mikeyboy403, in X-Wing

I see the Book Depository are listing the Rebel Transport at £29 on their own site, with free delivery and an estimated dispatch time of 48 hours.

I'm sceptical they'd be able to discount a new and in-demand product so heavily, and dispatch when the rest of the UK market is still apparently waiting to receive stock. I also see a lot of negative reviews and criticism for them out there.

I've pre-ordered elsewhere myself so it's a moot point, but I'll be interested to see if people are recieving their orders for this company for future reference...

The book depository has just dispatched my transport after being in processing status for 5 days. Let's see how long it takes to arrive at my door in the Netherlands...

My order has also just been dispatched by the Book Depository with delivery down for Fri 9th, would be great if it got here in time for the weekend.

Managed to get it for a little over £33 via Amazon inc shipping but notice they've increased it to £47 plus shipping now the scoundrels.

It's still £30 if you order from them directly, rather than through Amazon (mine was £35 through Amazon).

Will have to keep an eye on them when the Tantive comes out, assuming all goes well this time.

You can have them notify you when it becomes available. That's what I did for the wave 4 ships, as they will probably sell out soon.

Hi Mazz0,

You do have to pay at time of order.

Hi Mazz0,

You do have to pay at time of order.

Still tempting - order three sets (I'd order at least that) and you've saved the cost of a Transport compared to my FLGS. Have you ordered from them before?

I've ordered a few individual small ships and had no problem at all. They are on FB stating that their restock is coming into store today.

Just a quick update on the Book Depository, after seeing them come up in this topic on tuesday i placed an order for the transport. Just had confirmation from them that it has been dispatched, so it looks like they still have stock if people are still trying to grab one.

I too just got the dispatched mail, ordered via amazon.de/book_depo for just under 40EUR including shipping.

sadly not trackable, probably have a stealth device on their transport. ;)

Mine's been dispatched too. Expected delivery between this Saturday (10th) and the 22nd. I hope it's not this saturday - it's coming to the office and there'll be nobody on reception!

Hello,

I mam sorry to hear that you haven't received any update regarding the availability of the item 'Star Wars X-Wing: Rebel Transport Expansion Pack'.

One of our aims is to provide a convenient and efficient service and I realise that we have not met that standard in this case. Please accept our apologies.

I've checked your account, and I can verify that this issue regarding the 'Star Wars X-Wing: Rebel Transport Expansion Pack' is currently being looked into by my colleague Sheila.

As it is not yet possible to provide you with a resolution, we continue to work hard to provide an update and we still expect to be in contact with you on the date provided by my colleague, May 09, 2014.

Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience; we want to be sure to address this matter as thoroughly as possible.

Meanwhile, on earth, I did order it from the Book Depository as well, at a lower price and no delivery costs. So I guess the race is on between both. (Notice how the day that they would respond is suddenly May 9th btw)

I have mine and I'm in the UK - huzzah!

Spoke to Amazon uk this evening, pre-ordered the transport and the Tantitive on the second of Jan, I was told the product was available from the 10th of Jan and has since gone out of stock, when i pointed out when i placed the order they said that it is a popular item and i must have been way down on the list, sounds like BS to me

I've checked your order and found that the availability estimate for the items is listed as "Temporarily out of stock". I'm sorry for any inconvenience caused. When an item is listed as "Temporarily out of stock. Order now and we will deliver when available" this means that it is an item that is not ordered frequently so we can't predict exactly how long it'll take us to obtain it or when we'll be able to send it to you. After you place your order, we'll do our best to get the item for you. We'll e-mail you with an estimated delivery date as soon as we have more information from our suppliers. If the order takes too long to meet your needs, you may cancel it at any time before it enters the dispatch process and you won't be charged for it. I hope this helps. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Yeah, same here, but my Book Depository order has been dispatched now so it's too late to cancel! Hope it doesn't take too long to arrive...

Got mine today from Amazon/Book Depository at a nice discount. Very impressed with the contents

Pre-ordered mine from Gameslore back in January. I've not had a dispatch email yet, but their site has updated the transport as now in stock.

Element Games are listing 53 in stock -

Also -

57 A Wing

44 B Wing

39 Hwk290

39 Tie Bomber

Ordered mine last week via book depositary / amazon.

Arrived this morning. :)

Just got to wait 8 hours before I get home to open/cuddle it.

Anyone here pre-order with Wayland Games?

Pretty much all the UK stores appear to have stock of the Transport now.. except Wayland, who are still listing it as being released 30th June.

If no-one knows any different, I may have to call tomorrow to cancel my pre-order and buy elsewhere...

I may be just getting impatient, but regarding my pre-order with Gameslore they've had the transport as "In Stock" on their website for a couple days now and still no dispatch email :( Practically everything I order from them is dispatched same day and usually turns up at my house the following day, so 2 days without any e-mails is out of character for them... I'll give it until Monday evening and then maybe chase up.

Anyone else order the ship from Gameslore in the UK? Has your transport been posted yet?
