hi all i see the has been two promo models and stat cards for heros so far as i have seen are the any more people know of,

i have both but they are both in german due to picking them up at german shows.does any one have the text or is able to

translate the below character.

I don't speak German, but I got a friend who does to help. I'm sure one of the native German speaker on the board will give a better translation, but the best we could come up with is (between literal translation and translation into Descent mechanics):

"If Tobin completes a successful ranged attack, then it will cause extra damage equal to the range to Tobin's target. Tobin cannot do a ranged attack against an adjacent figure."

I don't know if that's right, but it might be close. If it is, then holy crap this guy will be strong as a ranger with some of the ranged attack distance increasing skills and items.

That mnust be the mythical fourth promo hero.

Any chance of a scan of the card? I can make evreryone an English version from it.

Unless it's just the range of the attack, not the rolled range. I guess it gives you a reason to go for attacks from far away and start with that shop bow. "I'll attack your dragon from a range of 12, play a shooting for distance...hit! 3 wounds on the dice, plus 12 pierce 1...1 surge for fear...dead master dragon from further away than he could ever attack me...sweet!" You wouldn't want to give this guy bear tattoo, though.

But as a drawback he could be so dead in tight spaces with a lot of monsters (And being overlord is all about numbers rather than quality). Even worse with Nagas.

So if its range 3, you get +3 damage even if you rolled 6 range somehow or got that through surges. However, the fact that he can't make ranged attacks against adjacent figure sucks. Get lucky and surround this guy with some Kobolds and he's going to be Unarmed attacking his way out. I'm willing to bet he's going to be 1 Melee, 2 Range.

I can confirm the translation given above. It´s the distance to the target, not the range rolled, exactly as Remy stated. Nice, but not overpowered, I think.

I wish they would give those promo characters inserted in the next Quest book...

sorry to say my scanner software isn't working and reinstalling didn't work and i have contacted the company as the link to order a new disc was down.and teh patches didn't work.

hopefully i can geta scan of the stat card up soon.

wblackthorn if your unable to get a scan of it right now, could you at least post the other info from the card, such as conquest value, wounds, fatigue, armor, speed, trait dice, and skills? Please. Then we could see exactly how this promo figure will do in the game. I wish you luck on getting your scanner up and working.
