Comms Booster

Comms Booster in the Rebel Transport pack is a interesting upgrade. I am drawn to it because it doesn't take an action and only requires a single energy. My first question is..

#1 "Can you use Comms Booster on a ship that has no stress, to remove all stress (in this case none) in order to assign it the focus token?"

I think that you can, base on the fact that you can spend focus tokens on zero results. your thoughts?

#2 "If a ship is equipped with Two or Three Comms Boosters can it (with enough energy) help de-stress and focus multiple ships?"

I also believe this is possible based on what I've read in the new rules that came with the Transport. Bottom of Page 3 [use Energy: The GR-75 may use one or more of is upgrade cards with "Energy" Header. Each card can be used one per round.] Plus this upgrade is NOT limited like most of the new upgrades so they must have intended you to be able to use more then one.

Nonetheless I want to make sure I understand to new rules.

#3 Can I use two Comms Boosters on a single ship? For example could my Bright Hope, equipped with two Comms Boosters, clear Wedge's stress and then assign him two focus tokens? I understand this would cost 2 energy and that would be all the comms boosting that ship could do that round. Your thoughts?

#1 definitely looks right to me.

#2 I'm a bit fuzzier on just because I haven't had a chance to play with and fully grok the huge ship rules, but it seems correct to me as well.

I'd agree with #1. It says all, not 1 or some other number and 0 could very well fall under the idea of all.

#2 I'd say would work like you think. It's not an action, it's only limited by the amount of energy you have. The FAQ does say you can get the same effect from more then one upgrade card if you have more then one equipped.

#2 You can only use a comm booster once per round, so you could de-stress/focus 3 ships with 3 comms boosters and 3 energy but not destress/focus 3 ships by spending 3 energy with one comms booster.

Just think of the Energy header llike the Action header...only once per round.

#1 looks right to me.

Looks fine to me.

After re-reading the huge ship rules the answer to all three questions is "yes".

I was looking for a rule regarding energy similar to "cannot perform an action twice in one round". No such rule exists. You can use each card only once. Several copies of the same card work.
