Looking for some diagram of opening moves

By Krynn007, in X-Wing

I'm not at home and my phone data limit is near is monthly limit, so I don't want to watch videos, which is what I am to get when I Google

I'm looking for some diagram of opening maneuvers.

Any build is fine. Tie swarm, xxbb, aabbx, or whatever. Something I need to work on and would like to practice. Been on a bit of a losing streak

I know formations like the box, pinwheel, and offset.

I've seen some diagrams of some funky opening maneuvers, but can't seem to find them.

Doesn't have to be anything specific.

I've been practicing things like asteroids placement, starting positions, and opening moves.

Any diagrams would be nice, and I can practice some more when I get home.

I am going to my second tournament at the end of may and I really want to win.

The two builds on thinking of flying is tie swarm or xxbb.

I just need to practice with them more

Any suggestions would be welcomed

A user called piqsid on Board Game Geek made some great maneuver how-to posts. I recommend you do a search on that forum.

Ya, I remember seeing that name come up.

There was something I saw awhile back, was really cool showing how to start off out of formation and how to fly into formation.

I was doing some last night by myself, but couldn't remember some of the moves. Took me a couple tries.

Thought If I could have some diagrams would save me some time.

Anyway I try to look that up when I get time

Going to be having a game shortly

What I would suggest, with the limited information provided, is work on uderstanding the proper formation/opening maneuver for the particular opponent faced. That is, the opening strategy against four daggers would be different than the opening against Han Shot First.

Try taking the list you use most often and practice the first four turns as you would against different oppponet lists. For example, never joust with four B-Wings. Practice taking out Biggs first for those lists that have him. Practice getting to Soontir asap which is a different strategy than how you would go after Han or Chewbacca.

You may be flying a great formation and have a great strategy but is wholly unsuitable against the wrong opponent list. My 2 cents.
