Loosing ion token when you cannot move

By Achille Talon, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Lamda shuttle is ionized. Oh the following turn, the ship cannot move even 1 because another ship is blocking it. Does the large ship still lose it's tokens?

On the card it states : "After executing this maneouver, remove all ion token from the ship"

Since the ship did not, could not execute the maneouver, does it still lose it's tokens?

Yes.

Just because you didn't actually move, doesn't mean you didn't perform the maneuver.

Yes, bumping into another ship is part of executing the maneuver. Nothing in the game prevents the executing of a maneuver (not counting action based maneuvers). You would remove the ion tokens even after bumping :)

Just like how you clear stress if you perform a green maneuver but collide with something. :)

Thanks for the clear up... And I did not clear the stress after a 'green' collision.

Thanks again.

Oh. Well you should do so. :D

Yep, you clear stress after a green maneuver even if you bump or land on an asteroid. You also gain a stress if you do a red maneuver that collides even if it was a k-turn and you didn't get to flip.

It's listed out in the Activation phase

1. Reveal Dial

2. Set Template

3. Execute Maneuver

4. Check Pilot Stress

5. Clean up

6. Perform Action

So even if you overlap with a green maneuver, you still remove 1 stress token from the ship.
