In the revised printing of AH about battling the Ancient One it says 'when the players accumulate a total number of successes equal to the number of players, remove one doom token from the AO's doom track and reset their cumulative successes to zero. '
In the Dunwich Horror FAQ at the back of the rule book (and in FAQ 1.2 on here) it says 'For every 4 successes rolled, remove one doom token to track their progress. If the investigators get 9 successes in the first round of combat, they would remove 2 doom tokens, and 1 success would carry over to the next round of combat. '
Am I not reading that right or do they contradict each other? Are the successes reset to zero or not? If they are reset as the first rule states surely it's not possible to remove 2 doom tokens in one round of combat.
Cheers!
