I'm sooooooo tired of seeing most imperial lists running mini swarms. So **** boring and uncreative IMO..
I don't care how effective they are.. Just not my thing.
What would you run?
Triple BH would probably be effective if repetitive and nonswarmy

Spokane was played today.
1st - Echo w/ VI, ACD, Rebel Captive, 5 Academy Pilots
2nd - 2 Rookie Pilots, Blue Squadron Pilot, 3 Bandit Pilots
Top 4 - Echo w/ VI, ACD, Rebel Captive, 5 Academy Pilots
Top 4 - Han w/ Gunner, Falcon Title, Chewbacca, 2 Blue Squadron Pilots
35 in attendance. Had a great time. Thanks to Uncle's Games for Hosting.

I am proud to say I accomplished my goal of reaching top 8 today with a TIE Advanced! 
My squad was Darth Vader w/VI and Homing Missiles, Howlrunner w/VI, Mauler w/VI, Backstabber, and an Academy Pilot.
Falcons as far as the eye could see in the top eight.
2 ship build with Corran. Nice.

At the airport headed back from DFW Regional at Madness Games and Comics. 72 players in attendance. Super well run event. 7 seeding rounds. At 5-2, I finished 10th, so no top 8 cut for me. So **** close.
Top list was Whisper w/ Vet Instincts, ACD and ???, Howlrunner and 3 Academy Pilots.
2nd place was 2Ys and 2Bs, I know there were Ion turrets, and the stress droid and advanced sensors. Not sure if the last two points were in use.
I was flying Han w/ Recon Spec, Merc Co-Pilot, Determination & 4x Bandit Z95s.

I have a sneaky suspicion you may start seeing more and more E-Wing's running about. Not only is it showing up in top 8's now but it is a very capable ship.

Nice work Hexis! Sorry you couldn't squeak into that top 8. 72 players is huge on top of being one of the heaviest US Regional weekends. Was it poor SOS?

I think it will be less the Ewing an more the pilot abilities,

Specifically, I don't have the finishing order, but I do have the top 8 builds (it was a cut to top 8). I'm waiting for the TO to get back with me and I'll post it.
Interesting point, only 2 of the top builds did not include a Phantom or a Falcon and every build included something from wave 4. Out of the whole field for the day, I believe there was only 1 TIE swarm player. Given how much effort FFG has put into neutering the swarm, it would seem they just managed to replace it with the Falcon Super Tank.
Regionals in Romania (Bucharest) were held today (21st of July). We had only 9 participants, but it was our first tournament, yay! Many thanks to Wargames store for hosting!
We had 4 rounds with top 4 cut:
1st place, Imperial 99 points(6-0): Echo + VI + Gunner + FCS + ACD, Howlrunner + Stealth, 3 x AP
2nd place, Rebel 100 points(4-2): Corran Horn + PtL + FCS, 2 x Rookie, 1 x Gold
3rd place, Rebel 100 points(3-2): Etahn A'baht, Blue + FCS, 2 x Blue

Interestingly, while Falcon builds seemed to saturate all levels of the tournament, Phantom lists tended to be at the lower tables.

Hobart is a city of 200,000 on the island of Tasmania you cant just drive there from Melbourne or Sydney. you would have to fly or take a boat so its not as accessible as you might think, though for a city of that size I would have hoped for a few more people than that.
