Sorry; I use the convention of the specifying lower place when calling ties, so when I say "tied for 14th" I mean that the next place up was 12th. So presuming a tiebreaker were run for those tied for 14th, the winner would be placed 13th.

Edit: although now I'm not sure if they were tied for 14th or 15th. Curse my failing memory!

Your initial instinct is probably correct, so I'll put her as #13, and the BBBAA as #14.

I was at the Kublacon Regional. Here's a c/p from another thread on Reddit:

39 people attended and I came in 11th.

After the 5th round, I was 4-1 (all 4 wins were full wins), then I got completely destroyed by Dallas Parker in the 6th round before the cut (ended 4-2) as I flew my ships very poorly against his swarm and in all honesty he completely outplayed me. I did, however, face another swarm in an earlier round and won, flying nearly perfectly and not making poor decisions regarding initiative and flank speeds.

Anyway the list I played was:

really interested in how the winner played that shuttebus. no engine upgrade and an ion cannon suggest that he was using his high PS pilots as 'autoblockers' to line up consecutive shots with the ion cannon. i also suspect he had a game breaking tactic using Capt Yorr - maybe a mass K-Turn by all ships and dumping the stress into Yorr??

Footnotes: Our event was well set up and well organized. Our attendance suffered for multiple reasons however. Fathers day was #1, as a few our regulars had indicated that they would have made it if it had been on a different day (in our defence this day was chosen for us and locked in by our supplier). Then there was the Manitoba Marathon (the province's biggest running event) was being run the same day, and the routes literally circled our location making access to our venue a bit difficult. Also, Fantasy Flight hosted their Regional Championship the day before, possibly keeping a few people from travelling to ours. And it rained like crazy. The people who were in attendance had a great time, the battles were engaging, and we had an out of town guest from Halifax (2500+ miles away). It was a great experience and we are looking forward to hosting another event like this in the future.

It is both ironic and seems somehow fitting that the 1000th player coincided with the event at the game creator's headquarters.

For the record, the Wedge, Wes, 2x rookie did indeed play in the top 8 at Kublacon. He was my first match before I moved onto semi finals against Dallas.

Speaking of Kublacon, I thought there were 51 attendees. It seemed like it was bigger then 39.
