Speaking of Kublacon, I thought there were 51 attendees. It seemed like it was bigger then 39.

I believe the start number was 45, then there were 3 disqualifications for various reasons and then some people left.

For the record, the Wedge, Wes, 2x rookie did indeed play in the top 8 at Kublacon. He was my first match before I moved onto semi finals against Dallas.

Thanks, the only real mystery is the not-quite Final Cut Chewbacca + Wedge + Biggs squad. It's not a big deal. It'll probably remain forever a mystery.

I've got minor info of what I faced Don, couldn't tell you all their rankings though.

I was running the baron mini swarm that played gabe in the top 8. Filling in some blanks, the bh/lambda was bh w/ recon + seismic x2 and vader shuttle. There was a xxyyb rebel swarm. There was another 4x build besides the 2nd place. It was almost identical running biggs and 2 rookies as well. It had wes instead of wedge, and biggs had the droid that lets you recovera shield for an unused focus. Dunno if it was 99 or if there was vi on wes or something. The last lis was a chewie falcon with ptl + title + han + 3p0, blue bwing w/ sensor jammer, and tarn mison I believe. So top 8 was 5 rebel 3 imp. On this day, much like the finals at worlds 2013, the 4 ship rebel got the better of the swarm.

Other lists/ general archetypes i saw throughout the day looking around. There was a 5x gamma w/ seismic. An AABBB rebel swarm. A double falcon. Another firespray x2 + doomshuttle with some different upgrades on the firesprays. Another 4x build of some sort. Another couple biggs + gold + bwings/ 2x 2b type squads. A 3 inteceptor plus 2 tie fighter squad. A 2x rookie 2x blue hlc squad in addition to the aforementioned x b squads with biggs and/or sensors or w/e. A 2 b + biggs + hawk. A couple 2x ywing ion turret + 2b ion cannon squads (two friends playing same thing i think). A 3 blue hlc + sensor jammer squad. A 4 bomber jonus ordinance type squad. A doomshuttle + mini swarm type squad or w/e. A firespray w/ hlc + shuttle w/ hlc + jonus. A 3 big xwing squad (dunno if new school wes opportunist or old school luke wedge biggs ). Some other 4 ship rebel with a hawk and couple Xs. A squad similar to mine in the sense it was a named interceptor + a bunch of ties, but it was 6 academies so no howlrunner, and the interceptor wasnt as intimidating as fel + ptl. He just kinda threw ties all over the map haphazardly. Some other questionable builds with bombers like doomshuttle + jonus + 2 scimitars with some missles, 2 bomboers with a firespray, and some sort of tie interceptors + a bomber. I would say I had the only really successful interceptor on the day with fel chewing up bwings all day. I think the 3 interceptor + 2 tie fight might've gone 3 -2 and cracked top 16 tho.

Sorry for wall of text, but having seen how interested people are with getting information from the regionals, I'm trying to remember as much as possible off the top of my head. I am failry certain there were no other sqauds besides what i have mentioned that remotely resembled a tie swarm. I'm pretty sure it was just the 3 falcons total, but there may have been 1-2 more. I definetly only saw the one aabbb and the one xxyyb for rebel swarm. Just to highlight some of the more popular/successful archetypes in this game. There were a fair number of 4 ship rebels, prob several more that i missed. I would say it was prob like ~30 rebel ~15 imp on the day overall.

Also fwiw, we had a couple more teamates that were planning on going but unable to last minute. One was going to be Fel + ptl + targeting comp (same as my fel), 2x royal guard + ptl (1 also with targeting comp), dark curse. And the other was Chewie + 3p0 + draw their fire + 2x dagger w/ adv sensors. He was considering bumping one bwing down to blue to put han on falcon also. But the 3 of us that were able to go all placed top 8 including the eventual winner, so can't complain about that.

The winner was named Richard, he flew 4 X's (Biggs, Luke, 2 Rookies, can't remember upgrades).

2nd place was by a David, a TIE Swarm (4 Academies, 2 Blacks with Draw Their Fire, and Howlrunner with Hull Upgrade and one other upgrade can't remember).

Dan flew Smuggler's Defense: Lando w/Han, Nien Nunb and Swarm Tactics, and Chewie w/Draw Their Fire, C3-PO, R2-D2, Millennium Falcon.

I flew Han Solo w/Millennium Falcon, C3-PO, Swarm Tactics and 2x Gold Squadron Y-Wings w/Ion Cannon Turrets and R2 Astromechs (my favorite).

Richard went 4-0, David was 4-0 with one of those a modified win, Dan and I went 3-1 (I lost to Richard, Dan lost to David). After 4 rounds, they cut to the top 4 (us) and Dan played Richard, I played David. We both lost, so Richard and Dave played for 1st place and Dan and I figured who cares about 3rd/4th and so joined in a second spontaneous tournament for some acrylic shield tokens
