Just recently purchased this game and am loving it dearly!

However I have a few questions.

1) How exactly do smoke grenades work. I'm not sure I see the benefit to them especially since you are in the same path as the enemy when you throw them. What scenarios are they useful. Am I missing some crucial detail?

2) On the gameboard, what are the Green plus icons (reminicent of a health sign). I don't see any tokens or objectives that coincide with that board circle. It looks like it might be a wayt o heal a character other than using a VP. However the instruction manual doesn't reference these points at all.

Smoke grenades are good for keeping the enemy away from an area and giving McNeal and Ramierez a combat advantage against anyone caught in one, and makes it a viable route for them only. It takes awhile to learn how to lose them properly but you get the hang of it after awhile.

The green circles are bonuses. So for the cross you raise your stamina by one, which gives you an extra die, and the soldier increase your combat, raising your value in combat and giving you another die when you attack.

The advantage comes from the equipment they get, the Night Eyes. That allows them to not suffer any penalties while in smoke-filled paths.
