i think again i do interview major people. its one of the largest stations out there...so whatever im more grown up, here i was trying to give something to a topic i loved and here you trashed it. so my grown up opinion...is to just walk away. thank you all for the time. some of you have a nice way about your humor, some dont. i run some of the largest forums on the net...im sure you all come across me before. but i always been fair with everyone and never prejudged. to bad most people arent like that

If the person posting is using a phone with predictive text that can cause no end of problems, and I know that. Also, I've made mistakes with spelling and grammar, as if using a computer causes temporary dyslexia.

Because we can't see each others faces. Hear tone of voice and read body language either. Some people, like me, use humour to try and show we're not being serious and show others that we are of good nature. Because fun and anger are the only two emotions that can be detected from words on a screen. You'll notice an earlier post mentioned the aforementioned phenomena and the difficulties associated with interpreting the emotions of other humans through words on a computer screen as opposed to hearing the tonal indications of mood and current emotional and psychological state of a caller on a radio show.

So I came in late to the party. What the hell are we talking about?

I know it is probably unwise, but I'd like to throw my two Republic Credits into the conversation.

When you first made this post, league3321, there was certainly interest on my part, as this was something I was have been considering since last fall. However, in order to run or maintain a decent site, you need leadership skills, and one of the hallmarks of a good leader is knowing how to let negative comments roll off his (or her) back. Don't get me wrong, I think it's great that you love this game, and that you want to support it. But if you're serious about putting together a forum, you're going to get all sorts of negative feedback from multiple directions. Having been in moderator positions at some not-so-major forums in my time on the wonderful world of the internet, I can assure you that you will never make everyone happy.

But your response was "I'm just not going to deal with this!" and stomping off. No matter what you may think, that is neither grown up, nor a sign of reasonable leadership. As this thread progressed, my interest - and the chances of me sending you a private message - waned until it became evident that you were not someone I could work with. I appreciate your drive to get stuff done, but your methods leave me thinking I could do this better on my own.

To that end... I think I'm going to go ahead and start working on Radio Jedi all by my lonesome. (Or with the help of anyone who might want to volunteer.)

You missed out that Americans have better movies too. Some British films are just embarrassing. But you guys brought us Star Wars, Star Trek and Superheroes.

We might have Shakespear.....you have Stan Lee. No contest! I think Stan Lee is awesome and, from his brief appearances in the movies, he's a great sport too.
