Best 'Mechs Forever?

By Not The Droids, in X-Wing

If you put an R2D6 in a y wing would be the EPT of choice? PTL? Not a lot of green on the dial to shake the stress.

A stress-generating EPT is not a good idea.

Predator for offense. VI is an option. So is AR.

If you're using a turret, gotta go with the one that gives you a bonus when you're shooting out of their firing arc. I think that's Outmaneuver, but it might have been Predator.

Sadly its likely to be neither as, unless they are being uncharacteristically generous to ships with turrets, I would have assumed the firing arc requirement to be there primary fire arc

Well, if I remember correctly, the requirement for Outmaneuvre is that your ship is not in the target's primary firing arc. It doesn't mention your own firing arc, so it shouldn't matter whether you use a primary or secondary weapon. As long as you aren't in their firing arc, any weapon you shoot gains the benefit (that is, they suffer -1 agility vs. your attack).

So like backstaber with a turret?

Doesn't work that way: http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/ffg_content/x-wing/news/wave4/outmaneuver.png

Ah. I forgot that it does require being in your own firing arc.
