They also mention that it's the only ship to get 5 agility, 6 at R3.
A cloaked Phantom with SD gets the same though.

He's capable of one shotting Firesprays and Shuttles with the right crits. Imagine him with Marksmanship and Fire Control System... EWWWW!Yeah, damage now is always worth more than damage later. It's a really, really spiffy ability.
In theory Corran could kill 2 ships in the same turn, then run away.
Yup... I really like his ability. He's the first ship (er, Pilot) who doesn't want to attack every turn. I suppose the Phantom could have the same ability, though the fact that it can attack every turn means that it probably will want to attack every turn.
Opening salvo at R3, attack once, get a TL via FCS... Round 2, attack at R1, spend TL+F... End of R2 attack spend TL... Throw a total of 11 dice from 1 ship over 2 turns. He'll be great against both hunks of space junk (YT-1300, Albino Rhinos) as well as interceptors (how often do you get those in arc? And they live via tokens, so if you can get a good shot on one... and then take TWO shots at it, you're likely to kill it)... And he'll be able to 1 round both X wings and B wings relatively easy...
And then get the hell out of dodge, while turtling up for defense... Talk about hit and run tactics... I suppose this is the answer to the Defender who will be just K turning all the time.

Yeah--at the low, low price of just 40% of your list, before considering an astromech or any modifications! He definitely points in the same direction as Keyan: he'll be an incredible presence on the board, but he'll have to be in order to justify bringing him.

Officially, no one knows yet what cloaking does. But I also doubt many people will be running Stealth on Phantoms, since the cloak-specific mods that ship with the Phantom are likely to be far tastier additions.
Corran is just as epic as I knew he would be! HOORAY!

That % goes down a fair amount when you look at epic lists though.
He's still expensive but against Imperial Epic ships he could be quite handy, getting 2 shots in on the same end, before it can recharge shields or other abilities.
Etahn doesn't get a mention in any post yet? I saw this and thought Mmm... Etahn + Entire list.... Etahn has an Interceptor in his firing arc at RB 1-3. Every other ship that fires at that Interceptor gets to change a [hit] to a [crit]?!?!?1 Sorry, but that's pretty awesome.
@DarkFather
There's no talk about him because he was already spoiled and has been discussed before.
Etahn is awesome but probably not getting a nod because he's already been revealed. Our pants slowly returned to the "on" position but then Coran came out and now they're across the room again.
On an unrelated note, my lamp just got broken by flying pants.
Corran's second attack may be nasty as hell with Opportunist when everyone's been token-stripped. FCS for target lock, plus another focus from, say, Garven. Nice.

He was announced during the original Wave 4 article.

And declared Awesome.
He'll be an amazing squad leader for other ships.
Ah, my bad... did not catch that... nvm me. Please continue to drool.
I think it's way cool that FFG managed to make Corran as good as everyone had hoped him to be, considering his place in the EU. Yet still keeps him balanced.
Both named pilots are fantastic.

It doesn't function as well as any number of other upgrades because it only applies to one of his attacks. He's easily the nastiest Marksmanship user in the game. Predator and Outmanuever are better as well.
I'm still underwhelmed by the E-Wing. =\ I think the Z-95 Headhunter offers more excitement for new squadbuilding ideas.
<sigh> It was so nice to see that FFG had finally figured out how important it was to include the maneuver dial as part of the preview. Guess we're backsliding this week.

Both true, but I thought it weird they would tout that as how agile it is. : P.
Though with SPA you can get a max five evade results at range 2 as well, as most probably will be.

The way the sentence is structured it says it's the only fighter that can do so using r2-F2 and a Stealth device. That's all part of the only ship thing. So yes, it's the only ship with an Astromech slot and 3 agility.
I was feeling less enthusiastic about the E-Wing, then this article comes up and makes me excited for it all over again. I guess I need to save up some money - there isn't a Wave 4 ship I don't like enough to not buy!
Corran is going to be insane. And Etahn is really good versus Imperial ships!
So basically no new information other than the exact text of Corran's ability and his cost.

And Corran's ability is amazing!
Well, we found out that there is more Green than Red on the E-Wing dial...So basically no new information other than the exact text of Corran's ability and his cost.

And Corran's ability is amazing!
It is, but it was pretty much guessed from that one partial spoiler. Glad to hear it is the end phase rather than the activation phase as some people guessed though.
This has been argued before, but I want to revisit R7-T1.
It reads as though you MUST acquire the target lock to activate the boost. I have seen many arguments against it, but the card clearly reads, "If... Then..." meaning that the first part is required for the second. This is why it is cheaper than a standard Engine Upgrade, which indeed makes it attractive. Partly because it's a limited upgrade not available to every ship, but also because it has a very specific activation condition. It is NOT a cheaper substitute for EU Works like this, and only like this:
1. Declare R7-T1
2. Verify Range and Firing Arc
3. Acquire Target Lock
4. Boost
Does anyone think you can Boost without fulfilling ALL other steps? If so, what makes you think so?
