Is it possible that FFG is working on the production of Wave 5/imperial epic ships already and just hasnt told us about it?
I'm sure they are. But I also think they know that they can only push so much stuff out a year before people stop buying stuff.
This year we have/had... Imperial Aces, Wave 4, 2 Rebel Epic ships, and Rebel Aces. Much more then that and they're going to see sales start to drop off.
I expect to see Imperial Epic ships released Q4, and Wave 5 sometime in 2015, maybe Q1.

If that was the case, we'd probably be expecting to see an announcement shortly.
The Imperial Aces were announced in September 2013, and were only recently released. The Tantive IV was announced back in August 2013 , and is still yet to ship.

We won't see anything announced for Wave 5 until after Wave 4 is out. Wave 3 was announced 3 months after Wave 2 came out, and Wave 4 5 months after Wave 3 came out.
So it will be at least a few months after Wave 4 is released before we see Wave 5 announced. I figure Wave 4 will be out maybe in July, I don't expect June. But anything is possible. But that still means it will be after Gencon before Wave 5 is announced. I figure Imperial Epic ships will be unveiled there, with Wave 5 announced in Sept.
My hope would be some new Y-wing/Advanced stuff or maybe a Card only pack for like 5-10.
The card only pack could feature some of the more preferable upgrades (New ones from the Wave 4 stuff, stealth devices, APTs etc) Title cards for Y-wings, YTs, Firesprays, pilots in other ships (Maarek, Tycho, Corran, Wedge[the guy basically flew everything], Soontir) Cross faction ships (Rebels flying stolen TIEs, Imperial Corvettes) New pilots for ships (Y-wings, Advanceds, could use some and I want a Mara Jade Z-95) and of course new upgrades (range 3 turrets[such as some ships have torpedo launchers on turrets], missiles/torpedoes/bombs, astromechs[seriously no Whistler with Corran?!?!])
A card only pack probably would allow them fairly high margins (they probably could do the printing in house like the "collector's cards") because of the ease to ship and relatively cheaper materials (compared to cardboard for tokens and plastic for ships) even though I am sure they would much rather just release new ships
You people arent thinking big enough....Remember the end of Empire Strikes Back with all the ships flying around. Well forget them and look past to the galaxy. Thats what is next. it will not be 1/270 but at about 1000 miles square it should be big enough for the 1.270Star Destroyers and Mon cal ships that will be released soon after
Id like to see the outrider for the rebels, giving each side 2 large ships, and the assault gunboat to the empire, where it could fill a role. Other than that who knows? They blindsided EVERYONE with the Moldy Crow. The defender and z-95 were kind of easy to predict, but the E-wing and Phantom were not expected either. Itll be a guessing game for sure.
