I understand that we still have some info incoming for wave 4, the CR-90, and rebel aces. Not alot but some.
But if the logistics and information cycle keeps moving the way it currently is we will have the CR-90 and Wave 4 pretty soon leaving only rebel aces.
What does the community think will be the next BIG announcement and when?
I'm guessing 2 Empire Huge ships and the annoucement comes in May.

Are you asking what do you think FFG will announce is coming after Rebel Aces? I would guess a huge vessel for the Empire. I really don't know which one it will be. It won't be a Star Destroyer, even the Nebula B Frigate is way to big for this game.

As I was saying, if you pay attention to the stuff FFG puts out, you pretty much already know what's coming. I've correctly predicted the past 5 expansions using simple deduction skills...
Look at this picture from the new Tournament Rules - that's CLEARLY an Imperial Star Destroyer in the background!!! ALSO seen behind the TIE Bomber in the packaging for that expansion pack!!!
And look what we find behind the TIE Interceptor: the DEATH STAR itself!!!
So, my "predictions" (if you insist on calling them that) for the next big announcement :

Probably about the size of the Corvette. No idea what. They probably will be 3 Epic points a piece so that Imperials can only have one Epic ship on the board at a time. Although we might get some kind of midsized, 1 Epic Point ship instead.(But I don't think we'll ever see that...) The announceent will undoubtedly happen at Gencon.)

I was staying on topic. You were the one who predictably brought the Star Destroyer debate up (...again ). My own prediction is, as always, that Star Destroyers are not going to happen . At least not as an on-board element, outside of an entirely new game system devoted to capital ship battles. Or as a nice like atmospheric background image on a printed gaming mat.
As to what comes next, we will see an announcement of an Imperial large ships, within the existing 1-5 Epic point scale, but most likely in the 1-3 point bracket. It won't be a Star Destroyer, but there are of course many existing Imperial ships that would fit the scale...

Same with the next Aces Pack. We'll get those announcements later in the year. That really onle leaves Imperial Big ships, or some new kind of pack. Individual Repaints of bigger ships could be that thing, but it feels like an Aces pack all over.
I do wonder if they won't be releasing a new Starter Pack at some point.

Way too soon for Wave 5. I'll be surprised if we actually get Wave 4 before July... Gencon is Aug, and I don't think they'll even be ready to announce Wave 5 by then.
Wave 2 was announced in Sept '12 and released in Feb '13. Wave 3 was announced in May '13 3 months latter, and released Sept '13. Wave 4 was announced Feb '14 5 months latter.
So if trends hold, and with things like Rebel Aces, and Imperial Epic ships. I don't expect to hear anything about Wave 5 until this fall.
We'll see preliminary models for two Imperial huge ships at GenCon, with the official announcement shortly thereafter. They'll be slated for Q4 2014. There will be a Vigil-class Star Destroyer (3 epic points) and an IPV-1 System Patrol Craft (2 epic points).
A month later, we'll get an official announcement on Wave 5, slated for Q1 2015. It'll have the YT-2400, IG-2000, StarViper and R-41 Starchaser.
