Star Trek Attack Wing stands for X-Wing

By EmpireErik, in X-Wing

I bought 8 Star Trek Attack Wing holders which do match the X-WING BASES. I bought red bases that really shine for the Royal Guard Tie Interceptors. The photos would not link.

They also have green and purple colors for your use. Look inro these for club level.

They may not be tournament legal but they loook great, and can enhance play....

They are slightly larger than xwing bases, due to the template guides being recessed instead of 'nipples'.....if that makes any sense.

Exactly. Which makes them not tournament legal.

And unfortunately the posts don't match, so you will have to mod them if you want them to work.

Not seeing where the "enhancement" is.

I bought the red stands and they are practically the same. There is no significant size difference and the posts will fit in the ships, but are snug. The red bases for my Royal Guards look great.

The pegs fit in the ships and bases right? I ordered one pack of green bases to replace some pegs . . .

I did not try to mix and match. I just used the whole red base and post.

Wouldn't it just be easier to paint the current X-WIng bases? Then they can still be used for tourney play or when you take them to a local game store, random oponents won't be (possibly) smug with your different bases. That way your templates will still fit like they should and you can design the painting as you wish offering even more creativity and originality to your X-Wing collection.

But thank you for the info for possibly alternative stands.

Sorry but the Attack Wing bases are not compatible for play in X-Wing because they are too long. If I was playing you, you would have to use the correct bases. I've seen too many times where a move where there is no overlap with an X-Wing base would have overlapped if you used the Attack Wing base.

You mad bro? Also, before you call someone stupid, check your spelling and punctuation. And if this is an attempt at humor, not funny.

I won these months back at an Attack Wing event. My thoughts were that they didn't quite/perfectly fit into the X-Wing bases. Plus, there are no nobs meaning the bases are a bit bigger, which would affect measurement. I would not use them or allow them in X-Wing play. But, I do wish FFG would release something similar for X-Wing because they do look pretty cool.

No matter how grumpy you people get, or how much of a stickler you are for the rules, I still think they look good. Also when I play people like you guys that protest over stands, etc, at a nontournament, i just roll my eyes and realize there are people who need to act your way in order to "be somebody" in real life.

At the club level, i play for fun and not social status. Tournaments are different. When I play and a person who buys acrilic movement sets, I trust them when they say they are the same, and if for some reason there is a small discrepency and they win, I congradulate them and enjoy my game.

After several years of playing numerous miniature games, i really could not care about the small stuff.

Hopefully, many games from now you people will learn to have fun playing these games.

Last, if enough of you by them, then the company will, or an outside vendor will build them.

Thats all....please enjoy your games, and hope to play you one day.

Four languages you say? From your post I'd say english isn't one of them. More like internet trollkin.

besides its all set and edited the punctuations ure so proud of

You did? Still looks the same to me, the ignorant, angry rant of an uneducated internet trollkin.

Burn.

Zathras, no matter how cute the little trollkin is, you must not feed them...

But his sentiment is received... I don't care for religion in my scifi and I also don't care for Attack Wing in my X Wing.

But the topic isn't really about Attack Wing. It is about a product for another game that can be adapted and used in THIS game. Would anyone have a problem with someone suggesting using the GW ball and socket flight stands to allow X-Wing ships to be posed at cool angles? Of just talking about 3rd party flight stands like those from Litko and so on, or the current thread talking about using clear cocktail sticks as engine flare on A-Wings? That's all the OP was doing in this thread, mentioning how some stuff from outside the X-Wing game can be used WITH it.

True, I must not let uneducated trollkin get to me.

These stands are made for use with x-wing if you are after replacements.

Cool thanks. I was actually at the store buying a third imperial aces and saw the ST red stands. I checked them out an thought they would look great with the Royal Guards. I will check your site out though.

Just looking to build an epic list and found cool stands.

Don't know anything about cookies, but I have heard that the dark side has cake.

Then again, I have also been told that the cake is a lie.
