Rebel Transport or Tantive IV
If you could only get one of the large ships, which would you choose, and why? This may be a bit premature because both have not been released yet.

Transport because the Xwing pilots might hit the table more often that twice a year.
Tantive. Simply because i have wanted a model of that thing since 1977
More options for my X-Wings?
Yes please.
Tantive. Simply because i have wanted a model of that thing since 1977
For me too it was the quintessential "you had me at hello".
To me, it must be the first thing that springs to mind if you mention Star Wars to me.
I like the tantive because it seems like less of a support ship. I want both- but I think Tantive IV will be top of the list.

Tantive IV for me. It's such a cool ship design, partially because it was originally supposed to be the Millennium Falcon.
Sell a kidney on the black market (thus satisfying the title of the thread: you have "only one" left) buy both, and have money left over!
Tough choice!
Transport, but only because I can see playing a greater variety of scenarios with it.
transport is lame looking... and it has NO weapons... but I still ordered two of them..lol but would take the CR over it any-day just for coolness... and it all about being cool when it comes to X-wing..
Transport specifically because of the X-Wing pilots and upgrades.
It's a trap....
The transport is cool, but the draw there is really the Xwing pilots. The corvette is really the one I'd prefer, though between the two big ships.
Which one comes with Porkins? That's the one I'd choose.
If money wasn't a consideration, I'd go for the corvette. Considering though that I don't even have enough fighters yet (only 1 X-Wing for example), I'd probably go for the transport as being cheaper and containing stuff that will be useful for non-epic play.
As I already have a transport pre ordered, and I had to pick just one, it would have to be the transport.

The Transport. The Corvette has no fighters in it.

Honestly, if money is that big a consideration I'd buy four small ships instead which would be used more frequently.

Pretty much what I am doing. I was just answering if I was to buy one of the big ships
I think both ships will be fun to play. So if I can only get one now, it'd be the transport since it comes out this week! Yeah, the X-Wing pilots will be nice, but I'm truly interested in the huge ships for Epic play right now. And even thought the Transport is unarmed, it can still ram and stress opponents and help the escort. That should keep me more than busy enough to get by until the blockade runner is released.
Tantive IV for me. It's such a cool ship design, partially because it was originally supposed to be the Millennium Falcon.
Most definitely. Back when I played with Legos I must have made 5 or 6 Corvettes with varying mods.

You . . . You mean people STOP playing with LEGOs? :'(

Apparently fully grown adults playing with childrens' toys is frowned upon...

If we were just going Huge Ship vs. Huge Ship, I'd have to say Tantive IV. After all, it's the first ship you see as "Star Wars" opens. And it looks huge ... until the Imperial Star Destroyer enters the scene. It is such an iconic ship.
But the Rebel Transport, has the Jek Porkins card. Being an overweight kid who grew up to be an overweight adult, I've always associated with the big guy. So he and the other X-Wing pilots ... tip the scales ... <ahem> no pun intended.
Plus, at the beginning of each epic game with the Rebel Transport, you get to say, "The first transport is away!"

but playing around with miniature Star Wars space ships and making pew pew noises is perfectly ok!!! as well as saying "Its A Trap" "The Force is strong in this one" and "I got you now" at various occasions!!!
