Hello everyone, I have had 2 starter sets for over half a year but never bought any expansions, now I am about to make a big haul but want to compete in the wave 4 pre-release event. So my problem is what should I buy to make a competative 100 point squad for the event? I am buying everything from mini market where the small ships are 10, the large and aces 20, the transport 40 and the Cr-90 60. I was going to buy one of wave 1,2,3 and the aces the transport and CR-90 with enough left over for 2 more small ships (or another core from target) or extra large ship or another aces. I know I can't use the large ships in the competition but the upgrades and pilots theat come in it look handy. Also I am also wondering if anyone knows what time we can expect the CR-90 because I don't know if it would arrive before the tournament starts on May 31st.

That depends on your experience and play style. What lists have you used, and how well did they work for you? If you're starting from scratch, my usual recommendation is a YT-1300 and two X-Wings. Simple to collect, easy to play, and reasonably competitive.

If you like Empire then I'd recommend grab a Firespray for Trelix and a heavy Laser Cannon + the 4 Ties you have already.

Yeah I agree a cheap competitive squad can be made from a YT and teh two x-wings you have. I have had good results with a XYBB squad.

The good thing about this game is most squads are competetive. There are a few things to avoid, like 3 ship rebels.

Am I reading it right that you want to get one of everything? If you get a TY and a firespray then you can take Han shoots first

You need the firespray for the gunner card. The luke crew does something similar, but is 2 more points and a bit wasted in this build.

Y-wing : Dutch + ion turret

B-wing : Blue + Fire control system

B-Wing : Blue

You could run this as XXXY as well only needing one x-wing and one y-wing together with the two starter sets you have

X-wing : garven

X-wing : Red

X-wing : Red

Y-wing : Dutch + ion turret

It is pretty high damage, with the extra target lock and focus from Garven and dutch.
