I agree with you and would not place a dime as a bet on it. The only thing that makes me wonder is people got the transport two days again from B&N which is just about a week before FFG.it really makes me wonder.

well they did get the two huge ships out fast (figures they'd get their act together for rebel-only ships…)

This doesn't surprise me. When the Kessel run event happened year one stores kept their ships and sold them on eBay for hundreds of dollars. One falcon slave one combo went for $450. This puts an end to the redicousness. You have a pre release and then the product is for sale the following week. This also gives retail stores the opportunity to sell preorders at the event for the following week. If this is accurate and I believe it is, this is good planning.

Also knowing a bit about the shipping industry. Product shipped in February January only arrive on time if they are food product. All clothing and none perishable items tend to take a back seat. Now is a good time to ship product from over seas.

But, Wave 4 is still at the printer and is note even on the boat yet. I've never seen an X-Wing ship on the boat for only a month as would be the if it is on the boat by early next week. Seems hard to believe they would give a firm release date given the on the boat phase is so unpredictable. It would be great if it were true, but I'm not holding my breath.

There is zero chance anyone will have the Wave 4 ships prior to the Assault on Imdaar Alpha event. To do would actually be a form of false advertising on FFG's part.

You can't tell everyone to sign up for a Tournament, and have a chance to be the first to have one of the Wave 4 ships, then allow stores to sell those same ships at the event.

So no, there's simply no way they'll be released before then.
