vs. ![]()
KiY cons over the Jorunal:
- Extra movement point
- Extra $1
- Check is harder by a -1
- You lose 1 sanity
KiY pros over the Jorunal:
- 1 extra clue token
So yeah, IMO the jorunal is dramatically better. What do you think?

Ooh. Uh. I'm always happy to see either, but the Journal can be read without much trouble by anyone. The King in Yellow will be a disaster to give to characters with low lore and sanity.
Close call. But I think I'll edge slightly toward the journal.
Yeah, the old journal is better. With Ashcan Pete in the game, it's one of the neatest items to have.
However, I rarely get one, while I get the King in Yellow in almost every game. Why? Because I always spend my starting money in the Curiositie Shoppe!

KiY.
1)It provides an extra clue
2)It lets you cycle through the unique item deck (better than cycling through the common item deck)
And well, that's petty much it. I'd rather have that extra clue token. I'm quite happy to draw both though :')
