New spoilers from the Rebel Transport expansion (my copy arrived!)

By GlobeTrotting, in X-Wing

What kinda pics would people most want to see tonight? I can't do everything under the sun, but if there's movement pics or relative size pics people really want to see, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Also, does anyone care for spoilers on the Damage Deck? I could try to do that tonight as well--a quick flip shows that Direct Hit is still in there

Naked shots would be preferable, maybe laying on the bed or something. Haha just kidding, I vote for damage deck as well

Damage deck pics are on The X Wing Miniatures facebook page, lets see some unspoiled upgrades!

Picture people I have waited all day and 3 ban stores said nope me.

Pics of the ship making a U-turn, next to a yard stick and with start and end positions marked so we can get a sense of the turning radius.

Also a pic that shows how far from an edge it has to be to make 1or 2 speed turns without fish tailing the aft off of the map.

The suspense!!!!!!!!!!

And don't forget the pic of the transport actually flying...

How many copies of the flechette torpedoes are included?

Suspense.

Why has no one posted pics of their Transports yet?

Actually, it makes sense that the huge ships don't have a stop. Too much mass to bring to a halt that suddenly, although given the whole inertial control they seem to have, that doesn't seem like a hug problem to overcome.

Ha! This implies that the Star Wars universe obeys any of the laws of physics!

Well, the stormtroopers Leia shot in the Death Star shaft did fall down...

Have snapped some pics - any recommendation as to the best place to upload them for viewing on this forum? I don't really use any photo hosting services

Battle underway

epic_battle.jpg

The beginning of a U-turn (note that I've placed it almost on the very edge of the map, just to show how much it drifts during the turn)

move_1.jpg

Making a one bank to the left (note how much the right backside overshoots the edge, plus I stuck down a TIE fighter so you could see how far forward the 1 bank takes you)

move_2.jpg

An alternate first move using a 2 bank (note that you have an almost identical level of drift off the backside)

move_2b.jpg

Second consecutive one bank

move_3.jpg

Third consecutive one bank (note that after doing 3 one banks, it seems like you end up doing LESS than a 90 degree turn.

move_4.jpg

Fourth one bank

move_5.jpg

Fifth one bank

move_6.jpg

And finally, the sixth one bank--note how you've easily made the (almost) 180 degree turn without ever leaving this quadrant of the board

move_7.jpg

How many copies of the flechette torpedoes are included?

Three (all other upgrade cards in the set have only one copy included)

Just flipped the rule/mission book.... the final mission (Rendezvous) requires THREE GR-75s!!!!

Thanks for the uturn pics. Much appreciated.

Hahaha, that's ridiculous. I guess some friends can get together with their GR-75s to make it happen, though.

Thanks for posting so many photos! I appreciate it.

OK, I am SHOCKED that you can't actually turn 180.

Oh, and thanks for the pics.

What. Lol... I pre-ordered 2, thought that was overkill.

*WOW* that beasty looks big...going to be really tricky to maneuver on the map!

I'd say the possibility it of successfully navigating an asteroid field is approximately 3,720 to 1...

Is it actually 3 *at the same time*, though? Or, like 2/3 of the missions in the core set, only-as-many-as-you-have that are actually on the MAP at one time, with a certain number in reserve? (IE., one destroyed, another comes out)
