Wow, 4 ladies, and some pretty cool monsters.
Cool team! I like Astarra but I was hoping to soon see Lyssa. Tetherys looks fierce (specially with her upgraded Feat), and the Golems appear to have been hitting the gym.
Lets see if we get a dark skin hero in Tahlia.
Edited by ramblurMaster sorcerers are changed, more health, but worse abillity.
I'd say the change from Undying to Death Wish is a HUGE buff. Instead of losing that Master Monster and getting an inferior version in its place, you get to keep the Master one and sack one of its flunkies, which would reinforce the next turn anyway. He's basically unkillable if reinforcements allow the minions to return, unless the heroes kill off the ENTIRE monster group before reinforcements happen.
I do like Tetherys's
Thundercats
-esque redesign, being an 80s kid. I liked her in the CK, and I like her even more now. Just have to watch out for Dark Charm! I'm looking forward to the other updated heroes as well; Our gaming party will have used all these characters (Tahlia being the next warrior choice in our next campaign), so this is one we could definitely sink our teeth into when the time arises.
Maybe some people around here will be satisfied, now that there's an all-female hero pack.
YES! Medusae are back! <3 I'm glad they kept the crazy awesome design for them (though I still prefer the originals). And four women? So great! This one is the one I'm most excited for.
I already had Sorcerers, but they're such classic monsters that I gladly welcome them. And Death Wish looks amaaazing!
I didn't have Golems, though, so I'm very happy to be adding them to my monster collection.
As for the heroes, I wish Zyla made it, but I've always wanted Tahlia, and I dig Tetherys' redesign.
Looks like these are going to get pumped out faaast, We haven't even released the last one and they are already onto this one. + we have a mini expansion in the pipeline.
I'm disapointed about Thalia, which more looks like a ranger than a warrior, and not like she was, with her assurance.
The new "death wish" instead of immortal may be better in game making the master more reliable. Curious to see what that could do in game !
But medusaes looks kinda strange, and maybe 4 spaces now ?
But I still wait for the unhumans heroes, like Lyssa, Zyla, Karnon, Steelhorns, and the one I wait the most : Ispher ! (as the new version of Challara and Brightblaze)
I couldn't recognize Tahlia and Tethery, but that's a good thing - these models looked really dated and were good for a refresh IMO.
The monsters don't look too different and I think I am with RingSkipper on the older Medusa's actually looking better.
Umm. Deathwish YES! Even if the monster is not reinforce-able, the heroes now have to decide if they will let the master run along freely till the others are delt with, or deal with him OVER AND OVER again until everyone is dead!
Two thumbs up to my already favorite monster group getting buffs >3
Not sure I dig Andria's redesign but it's hard to tell with the small screenshot of the unpainted model. The others look pretty nice; I didn't recognize any of them except for the Rune-witch. The monsters all look cool so I'll definitely be picking this up when it's eventually released. I'm hoping they give Tahlia movement 4 though.
Edited by RadishIf the master were actually more dangerous - if he got blue/red/yellow, for instance - I could see Death Wish being a really strong ability. Instead, his only advantage is +1 to sorcery. Who cares? If I'm the heroes, I'll wipe all of the (fairly weak) minions off the map before bothering with him. Nothing about the Master's design forces me, as a hero, to make the hard choice "Go after the master or the minions?"
I much, MUCH prefer undying.
In terms of pure wounds, if the master is the only one the heroes are able to fight for whatever reason except for with two players, you get more wounds out of Death Wish than Undying (and creating a new minion). However that requires all kills to be on the master so it would take some finagling on the Overlord's part to make it happen. It seems like a lateral change in power so I'll have to see how it works out in game to really get a sense for it.

The way I see it, you can run the minion monsters off if you want and just have the master peck at the heroes to impede their progress, or attack with all the Sorcerers and then when you reinforce, leave one far away so it can be used as fodder for the master. I mean, yeah, the Master will most likely go down eventually, but by god he'll put up a great fight, and the heroes will be too warn to battle the lieutenant or other some such goal they need to accomplish. Especially in Act I, these updated Sorcerers will be brutal.
I'd really like to see Vyrah the Falconer make an appearance in the 2nd edition!
