Fenix - Use High or Dark Templar cards?

By OneArmedSorcerer, in StarCraft

There's already some ambiguity with the text on Fenix' hero card: Use High Templar combat(?) cards in addition to Dragoon cards for Fenix. Now, the only High Templar cards Fenix can use would be support cards, but that doesn't make sense at all, considering the fact that in the video game Fenix is no spellcaster but a pure fighter. What WOULD make sense however, would be to have Fenix use all Dark Templar cards in addition to his Dragoon cards. This would give Fenix three additional combat cards (since Dark Templar and Dragoon don't share any card) and provide him with some considerable extra power of approximately the same level as the Dragoon cards provide. Thus the usage of Dark Templar cards for Fenix would make perfect sense, while the usage of High Templar cards makes no sense at all.

Could someone clarify, if the Fenix hero ability is really meant to be the way it is written on the card, or if the "High Templar" is an error and should be read as "Dark Templar".

Fenix may "cast" hallucination or psyonic storm card in his skirmish. I think he's one of the best Hero because he is a ground unit with both attack cap. has awesome cards and may use awesome reinforcement cards! Oh! and he may use singularity charge too of course.

Maybe I should clarify my question...

To me it seems as if the Fenix Hero card contains a printing error and that "High Templar combat cards" must be replaced with "Dark Templar combat cards". Can someone make a officially supported statement if this is true or not, or do I have to house rule this one? :)

That's definitely not a printing error, in my opition.

Fenix with DT cards (even assuming he could gain text attack/health bonuses normally restricted to DT only) would be a far worse hero.

Why is that allowed? Just because of game balance issue. You can find much of other cases incompatible with video game, eg:

- you need only 1 Dark Templar to build Dark Archon

- Dark Templars and Medics can't be killed by Spawn Broodling
