Be a tough one.
3 ships on imp side.
Just hope the dice gods are in your favor
Carnor Jax will be the focus of the attack if you fail to get in the range one. Like ^^this guy said^^ hope the dice roll good. To many times Ive seen squints get popped on one bad roll.
Not to be totally negative or anything, but I don't really see the point - okay so you fly in quick and ion one target (maybe)? Then what? the rest of their ships can easily k-turn or maneuver to keep you in their arcs and your interceptors go down quick. now in order to get more use out of your ion cannon your firespray needs to k-turn, which can be tricky, and robs you of an action. Is Carnor really going to get much use out of a targeting computer? If you're using boost/barrel roll to get better positioning then you're probably not going to TL too much. Krassis boosting? seems like a waste of an action. I dunno, I just don't see a lot of value in some of the upgrades.
Maybe drop the targeting computer to turn lorrir into turr? At least Turr can boost/barrel roll after a shot to get out of their arcs if he is close enough.
Speed came in very handy in my last game. The 5 speed k turn got my royal guard out of range of a mean ole red squad x, so I could come back with, ptl and blow him to bitty bits.
I actually think that some ships, say the A-wing and TIE/Int, should get a free evade whenever they perform a 4 or 5 green move to reflect that they're speedmonsters. Would be wicked awesome and reflect their darting nature. Anybody think that's viable?

I like it. But it might seem like a page out of 40K's BRB for the Flat Out rule. Still, it does seem extremely intuitive that you should be harder to hit if you are going really fast.

I might this out as a 'house rule' for a couple of games

Except it's wrong.
In dogfights, fast is bad. Fast means you're moving in a straight line, limiting your ability to turn, and putting your opponent behind you.

I know it's such that leading your target is easier when your target is going in a straight path. But I think quick blasts across your line of sight are themselves productive, just as turning into your target so that your rate of closure is faster and thus more difficult to lead. Remember also that each round of XWM is a matter of seconds between the seconds of the rounds it exists between. Yes, seeing an A-wing on the board 5 lengths ahead on the table looks like a sitting duck. But the reality is that it just blasted by and about to do the next thing. High PS pilots are getting those snap shots off where as lower skill pilots are reacting slower, thus their vulnerability to being destroyed by higher PS opponents. So in that manner I think blitzing by isn't that bad an issue. I suppose the agility factors in speed (hello Y-wing) to some extent. But the Falcon looks bloody quick as well but pays for its larger size.
I'm not seriously arguing this, I'm just saying I think it would be kind of neat if certain moves incorporated further effects. It would be a new way of distinguishing dials. Like the opposite of stress kind of. But really, it was just a passing thought. In XvT I'd dump my shields into my engines and rely on my hypermanuverability and speed to to jinx in and out of the battlespace like a TIE fighter. Yes, flying along a straight line makes you a target, but thats still made difficult by great speed. Think of the Me262s in WWII. It's not all turn and burn.
