What should a treasure in Star Wars contain?

How about a really old model swoop, that may or may not have a pre-regulation, destroyer class, solid fuel recoil booster.

I know that reality has no place in the Star Wars universe, but I wouldn't go with gold or platinum because in space, those elements are ridiculously common. Instead, I'd go artifacts, artwork, tomes of knowledge (not even necessarily Jedi knowledge - think how valuable the Rosetta Stone is), irreplaceable items, and first edition collectables of somesort ("Oh my god! A black bordered Star Hero card from the Alpha run? Do you know how much nerds will pay for this!") or vintage vehicles.

Yet another reason these boards need a "multi-like" button.

Something valuable to an organization, maybe lost technology or even just a huge stockpile.

I'm thinking Katana Fleet here. That was a great McGuffin that was something EotE-types tried fencing.

Some ideas off the top of my head (tho you need to figure out how old and how recent the crime lord was around)

(I really like the idea of a "Classic old school swoop")

Old star charts leading to some ancient artifacts

Rare and valuable objects of art

A sculpture of some old legend, maybe even plated in some precious metal.

an old family droid with a depelted power core but intact memory

All of the above could learn to other adventures, as some offspring tries to recover his family history, or it leads to more shineys

A "ledger" documenting and identifying hidden evidence stashes of countless malfeasances and dark deeds committed by rival criminals and other notorious ne'er-do-wells.

I often feel it depends most upon what the group will THINK is treasure. For example, I very much doubt my group would care to find some musty books or pieces of information, regardless of their value. After all, they're playing a paramartial adventure squad based heavily out of the DC Source. I'd have them find a mess of...I dunno, X1 Wookie Disruptor Rifles (made by wookies, not used for just disrupting them). They're heavy, highly illegal, and old as they're left over from TCW, but make a good medium tier disruptor that's not as frightening as a Tenloss one is. My party would cack their pants to find even two of those. They feel cooler than they are because they're unique and exotic. I would throw in other things the crimelord squirreled away, but that would be the big find, a rack or display of 2-3 archaic, alien weapons of some form (think Rodian or Twi'Lek swords or confiscated Gand Findsmen pikes).

Again, my advice is to simply be creative and know thine party. Even if you have to stat up something brand new for them, give them something that is undeniably useful for all of them, or so useful for one or two of them that the whole party is affected.

As an incedental side, doesn't Captain Rex get frozen in the Clone Wars cartoons in "The Citadel" episode? Not sure how canon those are, but I thought I'd bring it up, as it would imply the practice as being tried and true before the Bespin incident.
