So... I just realized...

By TheDarkPilot, in X-Wing

that a couple of the new ships (large or wave 4) now also have 4 attack dice.

Okay FFG... that's great... but..

Do you bother putting at least one additional die in the Tantive IV add on or in the TIE Phantom?

Ya i know, I could just use one of my original 3 dice... but.... wouldn't it conflict with any rules, and I`m not talking playing with my friends, when I hit with 3 and pick up one of the hits to re-roll it for the 4th attack?

Ya... I know... I could just buy another pack of dice... well... I was just wondering! :D

While we're at it, FFG should include all possible modifications for any given ship in future releases. I've gone through more boxes of Kleenex than I can count on both hands because my B-Wings don't come stock with Advanced Sensors.

You already need an extra set of three dice, since most secondary weapons and all three-attack ships will roll four attack dice (and you can get up to 5-6 with certain rare combinations), and you'll very frequently need 4+ defense dice (and, again, can get up to 5-6). There's no need to include single extra dice in the new expansions when everyone already has all of the required dice.

Two starter sets are better than 1. :P

Well... you are correct Sir... now comes the BUT.. hahahaa

I bought actually 2 starter kits but my son uses the other set of dice! :D

Someone needs to play the rebels aye?

****.. i see i cant get a free dice... dammit! ;)

Considering you will likely need 4 attack dice with just the core, I don't think FFG is going to start adding dice to expansion.

Though, I'm thinking of getting the dice pack, do to the possibility of 8 Def dice (attacking a Cloaked TIE with the Turbolaser).

You can't share dice? That you own? The attack wing starter comes with 5 dice of each color and they are identical probabilitywise.

Of course i can... (maybe i should next time say that this post is ironic)...

On the other hand.. your Kit came with 5?

I`ve been robbed.... i only got 3 of each!

I bought three starters an consequently have more dice than I can beat with a dead cat. Mostly of lack of deceased felines though.

Perhaps you haven't been acquainted with Schrödinger. He's got boxes full of 'em.

No, nor much sympathy either, I'm afraid. This isn't a game one plays on a limited budget.

Oh don't get me started on that con. I go to his store and he has all the boxes labeled cat but live and dead are all mixed up. So I open one and it's not dead....

Hahahaaa... what do you know about my budget which i dont?

Must have missed something ... anyhow... Sie haben recht mein Fue... er Freund!

Thanks! :)

Are you sure they're full?

well.. truth be told, you already have enough... don't take half the dice for your side, set them on the side near the middle of the mat/play area and then grab what you need.. simple solution.. and easy to get what you need fast.

Of course I'm sure. The great thing about his boxes is that even if I'm wrong, I'm right.

No, Mr. Heisenberg, I am not. I can either pinpoint the location of the boxes or whether there is a cat in them, not both.

No pun intended, but I immediately regret letting this cat out of the bag. Guys, this is a forum about Star Wars . This is the last place a discussion on physics should take place.

(okay, maybe a little pun was intended)

Doesn't wetting them change the odds though? And depending on what you wet them with, your opponent may not want to use them...

This I don't understand. Cat in a bag should be live or dead, but you can't let a dead cat out of the bag. The Scottish fascination with bag pipes and their dying cat sound thus explains why the best transporter operators are named Scotty or O'Brian and why such devices do not exist in Wars, Scotland won't be invented for a long time, and even when we get Scotland it will be far away.
