300 Point Epic Imperial Lists

Alright boys and girls in grey and black, lets' see you complain about the costs of the Defender now. Remember! No more than 12 of one small ship type and no more than 6 of any large ship type. This means no lists composed entirely of Academy Pilots or Bounty Hunters.

I'm curious what you really have to offer, seeing as you like to tout your sense of large fleets over us Rebels. Have fun~

10 Delta squadron pilots

Proton Bombs. As many as we can field. Who cares if you can use energy to regenerate shields? Our damage never touched your shields

Proximity Mines would also be interesting, as there is a LOT of ship to fly.

Ion Pulse Missiles and Ion Cannons also look interesting: Not only to they reduce the epic ship's energy for the following turn, but you can also ionize their escorts into the no-fly zone. Save a lot of time if the Falcon gets hit by the Transport, savvy?

I thought it was no more than 8 of any one ship type.. Must have misread that one..

NVM - there are 2 different rules - Epic Dogfighting and Team Epic..

Just realized you can fit Soontir, Turr, Wrath, Lorrir, and 8 Saber Squadron pilots into a squad with 34 points left for upgrades.

I'm looking forward to seeing a swarm of 24 TIE Fighters on the table at one time!

Also, if I was running the rebels against 24 TIEs, I'd just go bowling with my transport.

Anyone fancy ionizing some rebel escorts into being destroyed by their larger friends?

Also, if I was running the rebels against 24 TIEs, I'd just go bowling with my transport.

It would be interesting to have a "suicide squadlet" of Academies that would block the transport (though I wouldn't do it, imagine the look on your opponent's face when he suddenly realizes his ship needs to roll 12 red dice because he plowed through my academy pilot formation).

That... is actually brilliant.

Make 'em Bombers with Proximity Mines for extra punch. "Oh, you hit my ship, and my bomb, so roll 4 dice"

I'm going to need more ships for Epic play. My Rebels and Imperials at lowest ship costs don't hit 300(Coming in at 248(with 3 turret upgrades included...) rebel points and 260 imperial.

Time to buy more ships I suppose.

(Although with my planned purchases of 2 Rebel Aces, 1 of each epic ship, and quite a few of Wave 4 I will be able to make it more comfortably. The Imperials are actually worse off, as they include my lone Tie-Bomber and Tie-Advance that I will probably never field.

I understand that. But in a tournament you can end up with Imperials vs. Imperials, so 12 ships on both sides = 24 ships.

I'm fairly certain you can easily get a Bounty Hunter up to 50 pts, so you can run 6.

Actually, a Bounty Hunter w/HLC, Proton Bomb, and Ion Pulse Missile will be a bit nasty against a Corvette.

Though, I'm thinking for now, Imps are going to have to pack one or two Bombers with Ion Pulse Missiles. We don't know quite what the Corvette's energy production will be like yet, but the more energy you prevent them from getting, that is less energy they have for firing their hardpoints.

AH HAHAHA..... And people called me crazy for having to many ships. Well they were not wrong, but at least I now have a chance to use a lot of them. I am thinking 12 Alpha interceptors and 5 academy with Hollowrunner and Backstabber. Leaves me with a few points to pay on upgrades.

Indeed. Your opponent would be laughing his butt off that you just sacrificed 96 points of ties in a kamikaze attack against a 30 point transport.

I need Tie Defenders. Lots of them.

The Jendon ST-321 FCS Gunner Weapon engineer shuttle handing out a potential 3 locks and generating 2-3 for himself is gross in this format.

He'll also have a huge target on his head as well
